Aisha,

thankfully got a small bit of good news that the ulcer is starting to look

better but who knows how long the dam IV line will be in and boy is it

annoying!

Most of the time I do accept things and do what I can. It's when EVERYTHING

goes crazy and every thing to fix one disease process is going o make the

next one worse. Then I get absolutely Crazy, and that is a major

understatement. I have always been a strong willed, independant, self

reliant etc etc person and having to depend on others, especially when they

are like my husband who has to be slapped to help, is really difficult.

Hope that you keep going so GREAT with your challenge, you are a tough lady

and I know you will meet your goals.

Aisha says--Go slow, but keep going!!! Good words......

Love and many thanks and hugs,

Hi Kam~ I find you to be pretty damned amazing myself!! I can totally relate to the feeling like your eyes look older thing! When the heck did that happen?! Oh well, it could be worse, right? Keep smiling and laughing you are wonderful! Suzieadvokam <advokam@...> wrote: Carol - great to read your update. I don't know if you could ask for much more from your appointment!Franca - I truly appreciate your descriptive post. The leaning is, no doubt, frustrating at times, but you definitely seem to be doing well. Nice to read your update., PA - Celebrate every little milestone. It will keep you focused on recovery. I hope that as I catch up on posts, the rest of your work week went well. BTW, I NEVER dropped my keys so frequently before

surgery. What is it about dropping things when picking them up is such a challenge?!?Suzie - Girlie, you have been through a h & ** of a lot! Your positive attitude is amazing. I'm glad to hear your little guy is on the upswing and that you have encountered such amazing docs. I was just looking in the mirror this morning and thinking about how much older my eyes seem than just two years ago, but considering what you endured, I should count my blessings!Titch - Each time I read little details of your experience, I realize what an amazingly strong woman you must be! I hate that you've endured what you have, but I appreciate the perspective you provide just the same. I hope you find a solution for relief from your stenosis pain relatively soon; I know how bad it sucks! - I pray you will be relatively peaceful over the next few weeks. It's worth it. It really is. I'm only ten weeks post-op and

while I am certain recovery is going to last approximately 42 more weeks, I have no doubt that I made the right choice!I'm sure I've forgotten to post to someone, but I'm only at 7174 of 7370 posts and figured I better stop and record my thoughts. Full-time is a tricky transition...kam

How low will we go? Check out Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates.

Suzie,

So are you (wonderful)! I still regret we didn't get to hook up in

SC, but know that we will get another chance somewhere, someday.

And, maybe eventually we'll learn to appreciate that 'distinction'

we've EARNED around our eyes!

Smiling,

kam

Hello everybody,

I have printed out your last two posts so I will be able to keep them and

see what I can do....mostly it's money, how much potassium do you take,

Kathy and ? I'm sure I can get the hawthorn berry caps over here. Did

really well for a couple of days, soaking my feet in vinegar eating cherries

and staying off wheat....2 days of coucous, a pancake, and some chips have

set me right back to square one.

that is an amazing BP drop in just 6 days.....

Do you know anything about tinnitis -- I have had it for a long time,

thought it would go away when I stopped drinking coffee, also thought it had

to do with how high my blood pressure was -- I have heard acupuncture works

but havent tried it. with my disabilities I can only work a few hours a week

so money is VERY tight.

Irene,

Boy that sounds tough....Have you ever tried a week on just beneficials and

off dairy etc to see what happened? I have tried off and on for years and

once I was so sick I was just on water and bananas for a week, all my

stiffness and itching cleared up completely -- I felt 20 years younger. I

realised I was just trading one avoid for another .

Have you ever tried castor oil packs for your stomach? cant remember exactly

what you do but is easily found on the internet...worth a try although I

think this might be for intestines. I cant cope with green tea either. I was

wondering if some kind of oil would help with the flareups -- there is Cool

Oil, which is a combo of seed oils supposed to be a miracle cure for lots of

things. what about nut creams, something like almond which is alkaline dont

know how you would warm it though. I think I remember coconut oil is an

avoid but I was thinking coconut milk would be soothing and rich. I know

some of us can tolerate stuff on the avoid list alright, but not others.

I weight I lost was just extra fluid retention from dumping the wheat and

coffee, 84 luscious pounds of fat still await me....

I can get along alright with rye bread, but even handling spelt flour has me

itching. I have eaten stuff like pizza and can hardly get up from the table

the effect is so fast--I DO need to move fast as I sometimes just make it

home before there is an emergency trip to the loo. I try to stick to squash

and starchy veg now rather than eat any floury stuff usually. I had a book

by a Dr that said you need to stay away from all fours as they are

too refined, also all deadly nightshade family plants, such as potatoes.

, thanks for the info about the hip replacement info I 'll look them

all up -- the hip specialist is just waiting for me to say the word but

somehow just looking for a miracle or for it all to go away....I wont know

until the deed is done whether all the other symptoms have to do with the

hips or if I have crippled myself because everything else wont in spite of

the surgery....nice.

Well have a nice day, girls and thanks for all the info.

Kae
