Guest guest
I was looking into the Thyrosol more, and it looks like it has quite a bit in common w/ Thyodine (which I understand many people here take or have taken in the past.) At the end of this message I'll post the info I found on Thyodine ingredients, followed by the Thyrosol info. Some differences, of course, but many similarities. Today is my first FULL day on Thyrosol (first dose was Fri. evening, second was Sat. morning, I forgot the Sat. evening dose because we were out of town at a hockey game, but I have it in my morning and evening routine now and took both doses today.) I'm trying to convince myself that it can't be having an effect THIS quickly, but I do feel warmer most of the time. That might be because it IS warmer in Michigan right now! LOL But seriously, we had a 1.5 hour drive to and from the hockey game last night, and not once did I have to turn on the heater in my car seat going there or coming home. Hubby has high blood pressure and is his own walking/talking furnace, and we're ALWAYS having " thermostat wars " , but it hasn't really happened much this weekend! I did bump the thermostat up *one* degree today, but just b/c Hubby had the A/C turned down to 71 degrees! I'm anxious to see how I feel at work this week... normally I have a spaceheater going just eight inches from my right leg, pointed right at me, until about 3pm when I usually FINALLY warm up and can turn it off. If I can make it all week without having to turn that thing on, it will be the first time in a couple of years that the poor thing has gotten a break (other than when I'm gone on vacation!) I'll let you know how it goes! Debbi -------------- Here are the ingredient lists for Thyodine and Thyrosol: Each tablet of Thyodine contains the following: Dulse 400 mg. Bladderwrack 15 mg. Irish Moss 40 mg. (seaweeds which are rich in trace minerals and naturally occurring iodine) L-Tyrosine 30 mg. (an amino acid which is required for the production of thyroid hormone) Selenium (amino acid chelate; helps the body to convert T4 to T3) 50 mcg Calcarea fluorica 6x Lycopus virginicus 6x (homeopathic remedies for healthy thyroid function) All in a base of freeze-dried multiple glandulars including thyroid (100 mg.), adrenal (50 mg.), pituitary (15 mg.), spleen (5 mg.), and thymus (5 mg.), and others. Contains about 40 mcg. (micrograms) of iodine per tablet. Iodine is also required for the body to produce thyroid hormone. =========================== Thyrosol is an exciting multi-faceted formula featuring targeted nutrients and herbs that promote healthy thyroid function. Many aspects of health, including body composition, energy level, and cognitive function are impacted by thyroid hormone activity. --Supports the healthy synthesis of thyroid hormones. --Supports the steps in hormone metabolism negatively affected by stress. --Supports the conversion of thyroxine (T4) to the more bioactive triiodothyronine (T3). --May enhance the binding of T3 receptors to DNA, thereby supporting the expression of thyroid hormone-responsive genes. EACH TABLET SUPPLIES: Vitamin A (as retinyl palmitate) 3000 IU Vitamin D (as cholecalciferol) 400 IU Vitamin E (as d-alpha tocopheryl acetate) 100 IU Riboflavin 3 mg Niacin (as niacinamide) 4.5 mg Iodine (from bladderwrack whole plant powder) 76 mcg Zinc (as zinc glycinate) 10 mg Selenium (as selenomethionine) 150 mcg HERBS: Bladderwrack Whole Plant Powder (Fucus vesiculosus) 225 mg Rosemary Leaf Extract (Rosmarinus officinalis) 79 mg
Guest guest
first off---very happy you are already feeling something--I am thinking it's due to the iodine you are getting---that really helps if you are low and is extrememly neccessary for the thyroid to work-- as well as the selenium helps the conversion of t4 into t3---one thing that is missing in your thyrosol is glandulars--- thyodine will really help if you are a mixed adrenal/thyroid person and up to 70% are with thyroid. but herbs and vitamins will greatly help as well---we took thyroid and adrenal energy supplements which is the same as your thyrosol what I call support vitamins for the thyroid/adrenal (necessary supplements which can help heal the glands) https://www.immunesupport.com/shop/product.cfm?product__code=P203 http://www.greenwillowtree.com/tides/Detail.bok?no=400 We would take 2 a day of these types along with glandulars --and other vitamins!!! increasing supplements according to our temp. and BP readings. Many can just get better on herbs and vitamins alone if they are willing to take them thoughout the day and keep on trying different ones and testing yourself as well. The majority of thyroid/adrenal problems are nutritionally based, left untreated is when they become other diseases---auto-immune types are much more difficult to treat but you can do it---it has been done!!! tina jmo -- In hypothyroidism , " Debbi " <heiser@t...> wrote: > I was looking into the Thyrosol more, and it looks like it has quite > a bit in common w/ Thyodine (which I understand many people here take > or have taken in the past.) > > At the end of this message I'll post the info I found on Thyodine > ingredients, followed by the Thyrosol info. Guest guest
Now I *know* this stuff is working wonders.... my temperature was 98.7 last night at bedtime!!! Other than when I had a fever (complete w/ aches and chills), I haven't hit 98-point-ANYthing in YEARS!!!! :oD I have an appt to meet the actual doctor in June -- at that point I'll have been on Thyrosol for 4 weeks, and we can evaluate my progress and investigate my adrenals if I still have any symptoms. I honestly didn't expect the Thyrosol to work this quickly. Since I've always eaten WAY too much iodized table salt, I have to believe that either my body needs WAY more than the normal daily intake of iodine, or that the other " ingredients " were majorly missing in my diet in order to complete the cycle of converting things. I am so excited to be FINALLY making some progress..... but I am MAJORLY TICKED OFF that my symptoms were ignored for so long, particularly when I complained about them repeatedly and was told 'some people are colder than others'!!!! Debbi, off to call and cancel the next appt with the dumb**** endocrinologist.... first off---very happy you are already feeling something--I am thinking it's due to the iodine you are getting---that really helps if you are low and is extrememly neccessary for the thyroid to work-- as well as the selenium helps the conversion of t4 into t3---one thing that is missing in your thyrosol is glandulars--- thyodine will really help if you are a mixed adrenal/thyroid person and up to 70% are with thyroid. but herbs and vitamins will greatly help as well---we took thyroid and adrenal energy supplements which is the same as your thyrosol what I call support vitamins for the thyroid/adrenal (necessary supplements which can help heal the glands) https://www.immunesupport.com/shop/product.cfm?product__code=P203 http://www.greenwillowtree.com/tides/Detail.bok?no=400 We would take 2 a day of these types along with glandulars --and other vitamins!!! increasing supplements according to our temp. and BP readings.
