I had also gotten the impression somehow that a hernia was almost

inevitable with anterior surgery. When I brought the matter up with my

surgeon he told me he didn't expect I would have one...and so far I

haven't. I did not have a plastic surgeon close me. The scar is

obvious, but the only bulge below my belt line is due to my

overeating....

I don't think it is vain...but as said...when you are wanting to

end the agony the idea of a hernia as a possibility is small

thing...at least it was for me.
