Guest guest
> Can you recommend me a good enzyme to try for her and how > often for the enemas? I use digestive support formula from Extended Health, but I couldn't get the link from their website tonight. Is it possible your daughter could be wheat or dairy intolerant? You mentioned giving her a sandwich. Sometimes people can be wheat or dairy intolerant and it doesn't show up on tests. My son can't take dairy and he tested negative. What about a bowel cleanse? I used this one on me http://64.106.168.151/feature.asp?ProdID=16 but I've never done it with a child. When I had finished (it took 6 weeks) I felt great. You said she has impaction, what are the doctors doing aobut that? I'm not sure how they get it out, ask on the encopresis site. You have to deal with that first. Does she have other symptoms? Is she an easy child to get along with? I know a lot about autistic kids causes and cures. The problem is all in the bowel. One of my children is autistic with GI problems, another is ADHD with encopresis. There's a lot of information on the internet if you want me to point you in the right direction. There's also a lot of ways you can go, there's no one right answer. While I mention it, I love reading www.mercola.com Here's the link to the encopresis web site http://www.smartgroups.com/group/group.cfm?GID=787490 Tina
Guest guest
Thanks Tina, I have looked into both websites, joined the encopresis one, Did the bowel cleanse pills work really good for you? What about for impaction? Thanks again, > > What about a bowel cleanse? I used this one on me > http://64.106.168.151/feature.asp?ProdID=16 > but I've never done it with a child. What about for impaction? I can't help with impaction, my son never had it. But I remember others on the list discussing it and I can't remember what they did. I really feel you should ask your questions on the encopresis board as parents are more used to dealing with it than on this board. Also, I've never done an enema on a child. I really wouldn't like to do colonics myself on one of my own children. I keep thinking that if your daughter is small and heavy for her age, maybe there is something wrong with her that the doctors have missed. Are there any other tests you can do? What about cystic fibrosis? does she have any other symptoms? Personally, I had a great time with the bowel cleanse. Basically you give yourself diarrhea for 6 weeks, but you control how frequently you go by the number of pills you take. You would have to get your daughter's cooperation because to some extent you self regulate. By the end of the 6 weeks I felt great. I got a lot of dross out. Go and ask your question on the encopresis site. I'm over there too <G> Tina
Guest guest
Hi, there: Is your child able to recognize when peristalsis is occurring? A lot of kids sometimes ignore it (they are too busy playing, etc). If you can get her to acknowledge to you when peristalsis is occurring and get right to the bathroom, the problem may correct itself eventually. Bloating and gas can occur when each mouthful of food is not chewed at last 32 times. Also, candida is often the cause of bloating. Does she have any sugar in her diet? Also, chocolate is a real constipator. Pix > Hi Dianna, > You mentioned being in Nashville. There is a Center in Nashville called > Belle Meade Wellness Center that has trained colon hydrotherapist and also > medical doctors that are well informed about colon problems. You will learn much > about enzymes there that will help you daughter. God bless you on this > journey back to health! > > >
Guest guest
Have you considered giving your daughter digestive enzymes with HCL, hydrochloric acid? Soloray has an excellent one with pepsin...I agree with the idea that she is not digesting her food properly, and HCL is soooooooooooooo good for you in other ways.
