Guest guest
---Priscilla told me they can't do that out of state? Because that was what I had asked for first,so here I sit and wait crazzed with anxiety,in major pain,...almost enough pain to send me to the emergency room tonight,I don;t know if it is the weather..but I am in such bad,bad pain. I am not sure if i can go to work tomorrow,,,the burn down the left leg is horrific. I also am not going to read anymore posts about central lines,,,as important as they may be and I know some folks are able to go there,,,I can;t at this time...it makes me so scared and crazy at the thought...I hope that is not something we do at NEBH,,,,,or is so under heavy meds....,PA In , " Sharon Green " <sharon.green18@v...> wrote: > > That does seem weird, . Guest guest
Hi , Just think, after your surgery you won't have this pain! Recovery pain is kind of a benign pain, a healing pain, not like the sick, broken-body pain you have now. I don't mean to minimize post surgery pain, but it is a better pain. The pain you have now will be gone. How nice that will be! Hang in htere, , we're all here for you, we know what you're feeling. I think all of us who had revision surgery are glad we did it. I think I should start getting what I need also cause it is creeping up soon...I've been thinking about Pa all morning, I hope everything came out well. Ca,why are you having the revision again? What happened last time? Or do I really want to know? I've started gathering what clothes I'll need to fit over the TLSO (which I've worn before so know what to expect) but because I will have a special leg extension built on it, I really don't have a clue. I'm hoping that just some loose-fitting sweats will fit the bill. I ordered here on line a surgery relaxation CD with wonderful affirmations on it which I drift off to sleep listening to at night. knows what a wreck I am (sorry for crying on your shoulder ) but because everything that could go wrong did go wrong with my revisions in 2001, I'm just a little bit nervous about doing it again! Hey Cam, I ordered that grabber you suggested and I love it. It's soooo much more functional than that rinky-dink one they gave me in 2001! And I'm also ordering the portable sport seat that was mentioned earlier. As you can see, although I don't post very often, this site has been a tremendous help and support to me. Guest guest
Vonnie - I need more surgery because over the past 5 years I've developed a 20 degree forward lean and a 7 degree right lean. I'm only having an osteotomy done, as it wasn't done during my original revision. They will have to remove my instrumentation and replace it with new though, but I am already fused to the sacrum. You can read my story in the FILES section here on the site, then under Member Stories. And the grabber Cam told us about is an ArcMate EZ Reacher - it's 100% better than the ones they give you in the hospital.
