Guest guest
I know this may sound corny but for those of us with full a/p fusion and no bending movement and after having abdominal hernias from the revision anterior slice and dice job my surgeon was so kind to do anyway my abs were as strong as they possibly can get in the gym with free weights and in the pool and then i have to be really careful about pulling another hernia which is as easy as sneezing too hard or coughing too hard. I know i have done that too! soooo. I was watching Home shopping network at 1am when backpain gets me and I bought this Slendertone belt. It was $119.00. 30 days or moneyback. I really like it. it works. Its made by a medical company. Its basically a tens unit with three pads and its a belt style you wear it around your waist and the three gel pads contact over your abdominal muscles areas/zones and your muscles contract and relax. My abs are doing crunches while I am reading in bed for 20 minutes. It is great and I noticed a difference within the first week doing it once a day. and yes i had some muscle soreness as if I had done one too many crunches without doing them and for someone that cant physically do them it is a blessing to be able to try and get my six pack abs. It will help support my back and when I go and have my next abdominal repair next year my muscles will be tight and strong. I give it a 9 out of 10 just because I have not found anything better to do the job yet. Its really good. They make a male and female version. I am so happy with the product this is from a exercise challenged person. lol....go for it wishing you many peaceful moments TwistedSister in NJ 1982 Scoliosis Harrington fusion, 1998 Revision A/P Surgery for Flatback Syndrome, 1998 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, 1999 Degenrative SI Joints, 2000 Weight Loss Surgery, 2000 Spinal Hardware Removed, 2001 Cervical bulging discs, 2002 Arachnoiditis, 2002 GERD, 2002 Adhesions, 1993 Mitral Valve Prolapse, 1996 Fibromyalgia, 2001 Kidney Stones, 2003 Interstitial Cystitis, May 2003 Anterior spine hardware removal ** LIFE IS UNCERTAIN.............EAT DESSERT FIRST ** Harrington Rod scoliosis people and other post-op multiple spine surgery people may interested in the following website dedicated to Flatback Syndrome and revision/salvage spine surgery...
