Jeanne Marie, problems with your menses are definitely candida related, and also due to all the estrogen-like things obtained from the environment and foods (prior to the candida diet I recommend). These estrogen-like substances have been overloading your body and interfering with your bodies estrogen production, throwing of your hormones for some time. Candida complicates the whole senario by making the cells rigid so your body cannot utilize whatever good hormones are being produced, and it is interfering with functioning of the organs that make hormones, especially the adrenals. What you can do is: 1. Take 1,000 mgs. Vitamin C per day, and when you get symptoms prior to your period start taking 1,000 mgs. every hour (get a good Vit. C that contains 200 mgs. of bioflavonoids or buy bioflavonoids separately) until you reach bowel tolerance (get diarrhea) then back off the dose to 500 mgs. , etc. 2. Ensure you are getting enough Vitamin B Complex - 100 mgs. daily even when you don't have your period. 3. Take a good cod liver oil (expeller pressed)that also has natural Vit. E in it - at least 2 tablespoons every day even when you don't have your period. Garden of Life CLO is a good product. 2. Stimulate your adrenals daily by dry skin brushing. 3. Thump your thymus every day, at least 10 thumps in a row, and maybe even 3 times a day prior to your periods. 4. Take epsom salts baths every day to help detoxing. 5. Apply a hot water bottle to your abdomen during your menses (do not use a heating pad). If I think of anything else I will let you know. Forgive me if I don't remember but what kind of test did you have that determined you needed Armour thyroid tabs? You are always welcome for my help. I love helping. You need to take 4 tablets per day. > I just taking two grams of pharaceutical grade fish > oil a day. I also take 1 gram of Vitiman E. What is your pharmaceutical grade fish oil? Many of them are processed by removing the natural Vit. A and D (the most important nutrients in fish oils) and then they add back synthetic A and D. Some fish oils have Omega 3 oils but do not provide Vits. A and D. D3 is a synthetic form of vitamin D. > I will buy a brush {for dry skin brushing} when I'm in New York at >Whole Foods. Or do you think it's ok to use one of those > Japanese synthetic cloths? From what the lab work > said, my adrenals are pretty depleted. It is important to buy the proper brush and keep it only for dry skin brushing. I do not know what a Japanese synthetic cloth is, but the brush recommended is made of natural bristles, not synthetic. You can also stimulate your adrenals by doing rebounding exercises on a small trampoline. Why can't you take baths? > > Forgive me if I don't remember but what kind of test > > did you have > > that determined you needed Armour thyroid tabs? >I was put on the Armour three months ago > when I went to the Hotze Center, where they don't use > synthetic hormones of any kind. If they did the TSH blood test it is not a good indicator of what is happening in your tissues, but if taking Armour helped you that's good. Guest guest
I also have gotten worse and worse periods. It almost feels like a violent attack on my body the week before and during my periods. They have gotten worse and worse and put me in bed for about two days. Only high doses of perscriptions help. I think it is the Candida. AMber
