Hi Tami,

I'm 32, and had surgery for scoliosis at 19, with a revision/ extension at age 26, in 2001 (not for flatback, ironically, but because they'd tried to fuse such a small # of vertebrae to avoid the risk of flatback that my curve kept progressing...) They are still using Harrington rods, but a little differently. I have a little pain between my shoulders, too. I don't know what your daughter looks like, but the doctor suspects it's where my top screw is rubbing, because I'm on the thin side (size six) and that area between the shoulder blades lacks a lot of natural fat cells to " pad " the area. If your daughter wants to talk or email me about what's going on, my email is carolynalice@...

Best,

Carolyn

Thank you, she isn't skinny but she's not fat either. I don't know if that's the issue with her though, I do know that being top-heavy isn't helping much though! Thanks for the help!
