As I've been wearing my TLSO 24/7 since the surgery on March 28, I

contacted Dr. Hu today to ask her if I could possibly have a break

from it as things are going so well. She replied that I should

continue to go slow for the next month, and then we'll see. WAAAAAAAAA

Gee ,

The surgeons are all so different, my surgery was April 24, 25

I do not wear the brace when sleeping, showering, relaxing as in a

recliner watching a movie or while resting on the couch. Your surgeon

will not let you breathe without it. I'm sorry. I can not get over the

uniqueness of surgeons that do the same type of surgery. Heck, two

surgeons doing the same surgery, in the same hosp, will have entirely

different approaches. I don't get it. I hope you get a break soon.

Hi -

Don't misunderstand Dr. Hu - her normal approach with people wearing

the TLSO after her surgery is just as you describe. However, I've

had so many surgeries followed by so many different problems that

she decided to try and see if wearing it full time would be any

different. She's a very smart cookie, so I actually don't mind

following her orders. :-)

We've both had our surgeries right around the same time - how are

you doing? Was this your first revision? I apologize for not

knowing, but I've been " out of the loop " , having just returned from

the hospital this past Saturday. I hope you are doing well!

Love....

Hi ...

is restricted because she was a bad girl. ;-) Dr. Hu normally

only puts her patients in a post-op brace for about 3 mos. and only

when the patient is up and about.

Regards,

Hi ,

I was among the some that sent cards after your hardship. It

is good to see you recovering nicely. Yes, it is my first and

hopefully last revision, done at Beth Isreal in Boston under the fine

hands of Dr Glazer. I have a fusion now that goes from the top of T

to the sacrum and a titanium rod to support it.
