Guest guest
They just gave me a mega dose of antihistamine and left me on the morphine - worked a treat. I'm not sure why this doesn't seem to be done more often, I presume there must be a reason. titch On 4/27/06, cammaltby <cammaltby@...> wrote: Sharon,If you talk to Val's sister , I remember a year or so ago someone posting about that " itchy reaction " ...I recall the Sarna lotion helped control it...it is available over the counter. Guest guest
Titch, perhaps there's still be a risk of anaphylaxis even with an antihistamine? Doctors certainly take medical allergies seriously; I'm sure there's good reason for it. Guest guest
If I remember and get the opportunity, I'll ask when I have my ESI. I know QMC seem to have their own way of doing things (for example refusing to let local doctors attempt to handle any suggestion of infection - whereas Stanmore refuse to have anything to do with it if they can hand it off to local doctors), so if I get the chance I'm sure they'd be happy to answer ) titch On 4/28/06, Sharon Green <sharon.green18@...> wrote: Titch, perhaps there's still be a risk of anaphylaxis even with an antihistamine?
