Guest guest
Hi, I am fairly new to this forum. I have been reading for about three weeks, but have never posted. I wanted to recommend a book to everyone that I found because of a post here. I can't remember who posted about a certain website on Adrenal Fatigue, but I found a book called " Adrenal Fatigue The 21st Century Stress Syndrome " . I bought this book and now have recommended it to many, many people. I think that anyone with thyroid problems, should read this because of the link. I learned that it is usually the adrenal glands that have problems first (and these are all the same symptoms of Hypothyroidism). After the adrenals can't work like they should, then the thyroid starts having problems. I also wanted to tell everyone about a wonderful place that I have found to do my blood work. They test all your hormones, not only at the level that is in your blood, but at the cellular level. I had these tests done a year ago and they told me that my adrenal glands were fatigued. I took the herbal supplements for a couple of months, started feeling better, got off my prozac and estrogen. Well, I kind of forgot about it and a few months ago I started gaining weight and all the other hypo problems. I have gone to 4 doctors in the past few months trying to find someone to help me. I finally found a doctor that would talk to me about the possibility of Hypothyroidism and he took more blood tests than any other doctor (he tested for antibodies. Those test results weren't quite what he wanted, so he put me on Armour. After 4 days, I went off the Armour, because I was not sleeping at all, but I was so exhausted. It was after all this that I remembered this place I had been to a year ago, so That is where I headed next. To make a long story short, I am off my prozac again, taking herbal supplements and starting to feel like I am a person again. When my blood was taken, not only did they tell me about my adrenals being fatigued, they found out I had ABSOLUTELY NO DHEA. You can check this place out at www.eimcenter.com. It happens to be in the town I live in and I found it quite by accident. I go for massages in the same building this place is. They work with a doctor from France (the French doctor has treated my son. He is WONDERFUL). He comes here twice a year training doctors from all over the US. He is teaching them what blood tests to have taken, and then how to do their own interpretation of the results and how to treat it with natural supplements. It is the most thorough blood work I have ever seen. The website doesn't give you a lot of information, but you can call. If anyone wants the number, let me know. I think that you can have your blood drawn anywhere (they would, of course be the ones to order the tests, so they get what they need) and then the results can be sent to them to interpret. If you live anywhere near Idaho, they work with a lab here that gives them a cash price of $100 for all the tests, so it would be worth a little drive. Let me know if you have any questions, I am amazed at what they found with my blood and my childrens, also. I have a 22 year old son just like me and his results were worse than mine. If he goes of his supplements they have recommended, he cannot function. They are going to do his labs again in 3 months, see where he is and what the next step they need to take with him. They found my 20 year old son was very low on a lot of hormones and my daughter had histamine that was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of line. What they have done for my children is amazing and I am grateful to start feeling better. Now I have to be patient and hope the weight comes off too! Whoever sent the link to the doctors website about Adrenal Fatigue--THANK YOU. It helped to stimulate my memory of where I should have gone in the first place.
