Hi Lorrie: That would be great if you could meet with Dr. Levine on one of your future post-op visits. I'm hoping that you start feeling better soon, as I know it's been such a rough road for you. Just take one day at a time, and know that many people are sending you lots of positive thoughts! etteLorrie Snyder <lorriesnyder@...> wrote: Hi ette – I’m so sorry I haven’t written to you. I still have your original e-mail asking me about Dr. Levine and I kept meaning to write to you, but I have limited time on the computer before I have to lie down. The wireless laptop isn’t too comfortable for me. Anyway, Dr. Levine wrote me an e-mail saying that he stopped by, but being that I was moved from HSS across the street to Columbia Presbyterian they told him I was “discharged.” He apologized for not seeing me. I did write him back an e-mail explaining the difficult post-op I had and that I was not really discharged but transferred to ICU at Columbia Presbyterian. He said he was in NYC mainly during the middle of the week and if I had a follow-up with Boachie on a day when he was in NYC he would be happy to meet. So, maybe I can coordinate that in the future. I'm one year & 9 months post op revision

surgery (Dr. LaGrone, one day surgery/anterior/posterior--T-9 to sacrum), and am feeling great. I'm going to try to add my thoughts on some recent issues mentioned on this site: (PA), please hang in there. I know the days prior to surgery can feel overwhelming. Try to think of positive things, including visualizing yourself with a positive outcome. Lorrie, Kam, Joyce, I've been thinking of you and sending you healing thoughts. Lorrie, did you ever see Dr. Levein? Eileen (garden

girl), I agree with you on the great care I received at BSA, and how totally pleased I am with Dr. LaGrone, Dr. Neilson, etc. I have absolutely no regrets. The central line was a non issue for me. It was put in during surgery while I was out. It really never bothered me. It was removed when I went to rehab floor at BSA...maybe a week post op. I am still amazed that I can stand erect with my knees straight! I've been hiking many times, and I can actually rest standing up with my knees straight, which was unheard of prior to this surgery. Someone asked about standing in lines..........same thing.....I can comfortably stand there. No more bending forward, or having to hang onto carts.I think having a good relationship with my PCP has helped me, as he was the one who prescribed meds, etc. after I came home from surgery. I try to keep up with the posts, but I'm sure I've missed some issues, but if anyone needs to email me directly at paulettep11@..., I'll be happy to answer any questions. Hang in there, and my best wishes are with everyone for a happy, healthy

2006. ette
