Armour is dessicated pig thyroids, so it contains a fixed ratio of T4/T3/T2/T1. If you mix Cytomel with a synthetic T4, you can get T3 also but with the possibility of adjusting the ratio. What I'm trying to understand is that the synthentic thyroid meds on the market today do not contain any T3. Is this correct? Thanks again. ;0)

However, Cytomel (liothyronine) is a synthetic thyroid medication and it does contain T3 as the active ingredient. Chuck
