This is incorrect. Cytomel is synthetic T3. Armour is dessicated pig

thyroids, so it contains a fixed ratio of T4/T3/T2/T1. If you mix

Cytomel with a synthetic T4, you can get T3 also but with the

possibility of adjusting the ratio.

Thanks much for the reply. What I'm trying to understand is that the

synthentic thyroid meds on the market today do not contain any T3.

Is this correct?

_Most_ of them do not. They depend on your body to convert the T4 to T3.

However, Cytomel (liothyronine) is a synthetic thyroid medication and it

does contain T3 as the active ingredient.
