Guest guest
Hi, I was just reading your post. In it you stated that you are currently on ..175mg of Synthroid. Did you mean to put the period in front of it? or is it 175mg? I'm confused on the dosage. I am on synthroid as well. I take 150mg to 200mg. My doctor has not said anything with regards to food to avoid when I take my meds. She highly recommends taking it on an empty stomach is all. She tells me that humans need a higher ratio of protein to carb in their diet for their glands to function properly though. Most adults (especially women) do not get enough good quality protein in their diets. Women tend to be more afraid of meat. She likes me to steer clear of poultry when I can because of the excess hormones used in their production. Like turkey for example... most turkey today was born in a dish. Turkeys cant mate anymore naturally due to the excessive size of the breast. They cant get close enough. laugh.... But in order for the embryos to grow fast they must have a steady diet of growth hormones. And as you may know, hormones remain ACTIVE even after the cooking process! We really are what we eat! My Dr. thinks that most persons with thyroid disease are just more " primitive " metabolically. And we need to feed ourselves accordingly. So, if it isnt found on the planet where we can see it (not underground) dont eat it! I have never seen a " pasta tree " or " snickers " bush or " maccaroni and cheese " plant. Make sense? We just need to be more mindful of the fuel we put in our bodies, or eventually we will gum up the engine. Chriss.
