Guest guest
I was wondering if someone had information on primary biliary cirrhosis, and what is their doctor doing for it. I have just been dignosis with it. Thanks
Guest guest
Your best source of information on Primary Biliary Cirrhosis will be the PBCers.com web site. You will also get a lot of information and support from this site, which is mostly made up with people who have Autoimmune Hep. Don't dispare, this isn't the end of the world. The best plan of attack for PBC is to take URSO. URSO is a wonderful drug that has been proven to significantly slow the progression of PBC. If you are in an early stage, chances are that you will be able to live a normal life, symtom free. That is, as long as you take URSO, and take good care of your body. (everything in moderation). These are not my words, these are the words of my Hepatologist who says there are clinical trials going on right now on drugs to reverse liver scaring. He said, " by the time you need a transplant, you will be able to achieve the same results with a medication " . So, for now, take good care of your body, make sure you are being seen by a good hepatologist, and GOOD LUCK!!!
Guest guest
I would like to second the suggestion that you should go to the PBC board, and perhaps, join that group. This hyperlink will tell you what the disease is all about, and how it is being generally treated. http://pbcers.org/whatis.htm Good luck. > I was wondering if someone had information on primary biliary > cirrhosis, and what is their doctor doing for it.
