Guest guest
> not to much is known about this desiease and my doctors are playing > ginapig with me they dont know what to do can you help me?? On the contrary,,, QUITE a bit is known about this disease. The common treatment is dosaging Prednisone (an anti-inflammatory) and Imuran ( an immunosuppressant) to control it. Properly treated one can live a long productive life. If your doctors are ignorant of the disease how did they determine that you have it? You should seek treatment from a liver specialist... a Hepatologist or Gastroentrologist... The people on this site are very knowledgable concerning this disease (AIH) so if you have any specific questions... ask away.... but we can`t treat you .... get a doctor who can ...they are out there. Where are you located? We might be able to steer you to a good MD. Welcome aboard ! Jerry BTW.... it`s " AUTOIMMUNE HEPATITIS " (and " Guinea Pig " )

Guest guest
Where do you live? I was diagnosed in Denmark where I found that they don't know as much about Autoimmune Hepatitis as they do here in the US where I live now. Are you getting any kind of treatment? Guest guest
Hi, We live in Winnipeg as well,my daughter has AIH (autoimmune hepatitis). Who is your doctor? Lori
Guest guest
My Daughter sees Dr. S. Moroz he is a pediatric hepatologist and Childrens hosp. I don't know if it is a pediatric doc you need. However he said that he would give us a referral for a second opinion with one of the hepatologist in Health Sciences. If you need an adult hepatologist I can ask him for some names.
