Hi Group,

I had a private email from Carolyn who said there is a place in the

North End " Fiore " that has a private room she could check on....also a

friend owns a resaurant in town that has a private room that

she could see about....let me know if either of those choices sound

better than the NEBH solution.

Vonnie, sorry you can not make it...I understand completely! Cam

Hi All,

I've been a bit quiet lately. Just busy. Wish I could join you all in Boston, but it's just too far.

Ann, did Dr. Rand have any ideas what you could do for your arthritic SI Joints?

, so glad you're feeling better and recuperating well.

Kam, sorry you're having such a hard time. It will get better. Somehow, there are plateaus. But you'll do fine. Hang in! It's the long haul that counts. Give yourself time to heal, as much as you need.

Lorrie, sorry you are having a hard time with friends. I went through the same thing. When my son had his surgery in 1981, he was in the hospital for three weeks and my then husband and I stayed there, too. We lived in the NYC suburbs, the hospital was in NYC. All of our friends were accustomed to coming into the city, but not only did no one visit, no one even called us. I had to call close friends of ours whose son was 's best friend, and asked them to bring their son to visit. They did, but only because I asked. When I had my revision in 1997, only one friend came to visit at the hospital, no one even came at home. After three months, I called my close friends on it, and they all agreed that I was right to be hurt and they were very sorry. We're still friends, but I have never forgotten. The friends I have where I live now are very, very supportive. I'm lucky.

I'm going to a new pain doc next week. I'll tell you all what he says.

Hope everyone else is well.

Gee the whole dinner arrangement sounds so good! But, like Sharon, I have to decline. You folks who will already be in the city are very lucky, and I hope that you have a great time! I can't get over how hospitable the NEBH is being!

Kim,

I would think we would like to keep this dinner more a chance to

continue to build on relationships we have started here in this group,

and since Joe has not paricipated...perhaps that would change the

dynamic of the dinner?... just my opinion, and I would galdly go the

other way if there was energy around the idea of inviting him. I know

Ann knows him from her days volunteering at NSF.

I did correspond with Joanne Chertok, a member in Boston we have not

heard from lately, and she will be joining us. (I will get her dinner

choice to you soon). I also sent a note to in RI and Franca to

see if they are up for joining in.

I don't know if we set a time yet...? I am assuming 5 or 5:30?
