When you had your biopsy did the doctors say they could tell from the biopsy that you have AIH? Susie, That is such an excellent question. I had a transplant 4 1/2 years ago and at that time I was diagnosed by the process of elimination. In other words, there was no other reason for the cirrohsis. I don't really know if there has been any progress in this area from then to now. I'm glad you're going to Mayo, start writing these questions down and see what you can find out. We can all benefit from some education in this area.
