Guest guest
, PA- Listen to your body.... perhaps you are overdoing it a tad too much. That is one of the most common mishaps post revision. Doing too much too soon. If your body is saying slow down listen and maybe rest for awhile during the day, even if you do something while laying down to take the gravity and pressure off your bones for awhile. I am almost 8 years revision and still I need to lay down and it is my preferred position to relax. my back says thank you...because I have developed a new ole pre-vision mid lumbar pain that has not gone away. I believe my new formed lordosis is trying to reshape itself again hopefully not into flatback again. At least this time I am more awrae of my body and the dos and don'ts and i know not to sleep with pillows under my knees no matter how bad that mid back ache has become. It feels like my back is broken in half at my waistline on my posterior spine and thats on super duty meds.. So listen to your body.. kathleen in NJ wishing you many peaceful moments TwistedSister in NJ 1982 Scoliosis Harrington fusion, 1998 Revision A/P Surgery for Flatback Syndrome, 1998 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, 1999 Degenrative SI Joints, 2000 Weight Loss Surgery, 2000 Spinal Hardware Removed, 2001 Cervical bulging discs, 2002 Arachnoiditis, 2002 GERD, 2002 Adhesions, 1993 Mitral Valve Prolapse, 1996 Fibromyalgia, 2001 Kidney Stones, 2003 Interstitial Cystitis, May 2003 Anterior spine hardware removal ** LIFE IS UNCERTAIN.............EAT DESSERT FIRST ** Harrington Rod scoliosis people and other post-op multiple spine surgery people may interested in the following website dedicated to Flatback Syndrome and revision/salvage spine surgery... Guest guest
Kathleen, why is it bad to sleep with a pillow under your knees? I usually place one between my knees while side sleeping, but often wake up on my back with the pillow under my knees. Ann
