,

I doubt this will help, but maybe you could lie down in the afternoon

for about 30 min. Just a nice break to rest, listen to music, etc.

Even after you go back to work a short rest is a good idea.

Hi PA,

Hmmm. I never felt that way. Could it be the way you're sleeping? Do you use a pillow under your knees? Try not doing as much during the day and see if that helps. Try lying down a couple of times during the day, even for a half hour at a time. And remember, you are still in recovery mode! When I was at your stage, I was good for nothing. My guess would be that you are doing too much during the day. But it's only a guess. Hope this goes away soon.

- I too am very, very stiff in the AM. My feet and legs hurt so badly.

Dr. Boachie said I need to exercise more and walk more and it will get

better. I am in the same boat as you. I know what you are talking about.

My guess is that you are trying to do too much too soon. Give yourself a break and pace yourself more. Even when they say to exercise, you have to have a starting point in order to build up and you can do it every other day. Yes, you need to keep moving but start small. If you can only walk across a room, without hurting the next day, then walk 3 steps further the next time and so on. If you are still having problems, then check with your doctor. The symptoms you describe are the same for arthritis, so it might be something else complicating things for you.

Hope you feel better, but at least you have your daughter to help you. Next time you need your daughter to help you, just call out that "Tin Woman needs help!" At least it will give you both something to laugh about, especially when you're further along in your healing. Take care.

Hi - this may be a long shot - but - how is your mattress? I was feeling similar to what you are describing before getting a new mattress and using pillows under my knees... --Vonnie,

I walk alot each day..I don't know how much but you figure I get up

at 6:00 and am out most of the day doing " Stuff " and come home around

3:00 and usually go out again at 4;30 and if my daughter has a

sporting event, i;ll go to that too!! I am sure it must be from all

the activity and then I sleep and everything stiffens up...it has

only happened as I have increased my activity during the day. I go

back to work 4/3 so we;ll see how it is at that point....I was

wondering if anyone else is stiff to and Lorrie seems to have the

same issue.....it will probably take us some time to get back to our

unstiff seleves!!!! , PA
