have had my computer I have never had a problem with viruses?

Viruses become more prevelent when you recieve a lot of email from many users. dont go from 1 email to another without checking for attschments first.

Don you mad some good points, Personally I do not use address books for the reason you specifieed. christi

Many of the new nasties read an infected person's address book and sends itself to everyone listed. The more you correspond on these lists, the more likely somebody has added you to their address book so they can write to you more easily, not having to comb back through past messages to find your address, or even worse (at least in my case!) trying to remember it.

Unfortunately, not everybody uses an antivirus program and updates their definitions at least weekly. Many more are careless about opening attachments, especially now many viruses look like they are coming from an address you recognize and assume is safe. My rule is to NEVER open anything that you don't know is coming.
