Jodi and I made it back from Miami about 5:00 yesterday afternoon without any problems. Going up was a different story. They had to scratch our flight because of the bad weather and I was glad because being in a four seater plane in that weather would have given us a stroke. I had to drive in that mess and at times I couldn't see the road. We took our time and made it there safely, thank the good Lord. Jodi had her Doppler Ultrasound and the EKG done quickly so we thought we would go on over to the transplant building and see if we could get in to see the surgeon early. As you can see things just weren't going good for us up until now and it didn't get better. Dr. Levi was called out of the country to do a seminar for someone who had to have emergency surgery. Well, so it wouldn't be a total lose of time going down they had us to see another surgeon. While we were in there Dr. Levi called and talked to this guy about me and Jodi. He examined Jodi and said he thought it was close also but as far as he was concerned it was a go. Anyway he ordered the next test for me which is a Angiogram and a appointment with a shrink. We will go down April 18, and spend the night then hopefully Jodi will see her Hepatologist the next morning the 19th. and I will have the test also early the 19th. but will have to spend the night in the hospital so my husband will stay with me. Jodi will want to get back to her family so she can ask Angel Flight to send someone to get her. I have every thing planned out because I have those two days off work. As you can tell my best laid plans don't always work out, but I try. LOL So, if Dr. Levi doesn't come back and mess things up MY LIVER IS LARGE ENOUGH, ANSWERED PRAYERS. Thanks for all the prayers you guys. This is wonderful news for me and Jodi. Now I just have to trick the shrink into thinking I'm not a fruit cake. That may be a little tough, better pray in double time you good people. Better get back to going through e-mail so hope everyone is having a good weekend. Take care and God bless you all. I hope they hurry with the other tests, so you two can begin your recoveries soon. Who was it that said they look for ways to make it work, not for reasons to deny you? Anyway, I will continue to pray for you both. Sorry there were the hassels getting there and then not seeing the dr. The good news outweighs all that. I know the next few months are going to be so difficult for all of you. And I think it is so wonderful that you and your family are so supportive and understanding.
