Some people reported thinner hair, some thicker, some thinning followed by thickening. And then, there is facial hair - - -. Prednisone changes a lot of things! I have always had fine hair but it is more so now but I am not shedding any more. The beautician I went to for years got me started using Nioxin shampoo and scalp treatment 4 or 5 yrs ago and I think that has helped. I also like the hair spray. I have had to get perms more often and that does not help fine hair either. It is not cheap but it goes a long way, it takes so little. Good luck. Leona M. It seems that since I started prednisone, my hairis totally lifeless. Have not really noticed hairloss per se, but it does seem a little thinner -but since I was blessed with a lot of hair - that's notthe problem - it just won't do anything. Does not seem to respond to styling the same way. Since I go to work daily, have to deal with trying to makeit look somewhat presentable - but lately, it looksas though I've had a string of consecutive bad hair days in a row.Sorry, if this seems silly, thought I would see what the other ladies are experiencing (I'm assuming the men probably don't care as much....?) Terri NV I was unwilling to mess with chemicals of any kind -- I have enough going on in my body as it is. The facial hair, for me, proved to be temporary and not terribly conspicuous to others, although weird (thick white fuzz on my cheekbones.)
