Guest guest
Hi Lyn, Are you taking Lasix? You will certainly swell being on steroids just something you have to deal with. There are different kinds of steroids where one won't work another type will. Be patient with yourself. I swell and have for 2 years post transplant. I am lucky however my transplant team wean every patient off steroids as soon as they can. I also have COPD and Asthma where I have attacks that put me in the hospital and they give me high doses of steroids every time. I hate Pred. makes me crazy but I know I have to do it. Takes a very long time to adjust your medications to your body. The docs call it your own recipe. Hang in there and do ask many questions to your care team they will give you some info just keep digging. gayle trans/6-99 ^oo^ galye@... Ann AIH 4/1/01 Ann, I don't think budnisone is yet approved for use in the United States. It is another steroid that may have fewer (or at least different) side effects than prednisone. A stone is 14 pounds. Harper (AIH 5/00)
