Yesterday she had another melt down--where she calls crying like

crazy. She has 3 finals on Friday and she doesn't think she will do

well. She was frantic on the phone. This quarter (10 weeks) to learn

some very tough classes and she is not herself, worried over the

weight gain--she is still gaining now at 145ish most likely for a 5/1

this is not good. I tell her stop worrying about the weight gain--I

also listened to my own advice for Kim and ordered M more digestive

enzymes, more adrenal energy vitamins and probiotics for her as well

now that we discovered she has yeast.

Yeast can also cause a lot of her problems!! We must fight that now.

I also sent her the letter to Kim I have to constantly explain things

because her retention level is just not there. I don't know if it's

because of all the math/science that she has to hold in her head or

she just can't focus on it.

Again I told her you must come home for the summer so we can begin

more treatements on you. And take you to some doctors that I finally

found. Gail's site was great because she could read it all in one

place.

M just doesn't want to deal with this at a time when she would love

to have fun in college and date---she so wants to date. But I tell

her all the time you are so lucky just to still be in college, I

think if she had gone untreated this year she would have never made

it.

I want her home so she can rest, we can juice veggies everyday and

she can walk---and take all the right meds!! She needs to get

balanced that is the main problem. She will not take some of the

medication she may need so this is where I need a doctor to tell her

it's ok.

Hubby finally told her how much longer do you think you can go on

this way?? She has got to put herself first and stop doing everything

to please others. I am going to have to put my foot down!!! and that

is going to be difficult!!!!!

thanks for asking--sometimes I do need to vent as well!!!!

> Oh! Poor M - she's so young and to have to deal with all this is a

shame. Wish she could just concentrate on being a college student....

Thankfully, she has a Mom who truly has her best interests at heart

and is working so hard to get her well!

> I too found Gail's site extremely informative - the information

there is wonderful, as Sheila mentioned it'll take a while to go

through it all. I now KNOW I have adrenal issues and knowing is part

of the battle.

Very well could be --but she needs testing so we can check. Many

reasons why she has not upped her dose--she wants to cure this--

taking more hormone will mean the thryoid will make less than what it

does now. So she is trying to heal herself with all the nutritional

supplements that the thyroid needs. Other reasons she is still very

adrenal--so she is taking that as well--trying to find a balance for

both of them to work together.

If she were home we would do only adrenal again, I think we ended

that too soon. What we did from Aug. to Dec. really worked. She got

her period and now nothing since Dec. So the armour may not be what

she really needs even though it is getting her though this time

period.

I think we needs much more testing, start adrenal therapy full time

without thyroid--while giving iodine and thyroid support without

hormone--get retested again and see our numbers.

The adreanls must be more stressed this time because of the added

thyroid hormones--or else she would be getting her period. Adreanls

are directly related to her female hormones. M's condition is not the

typical thyroid patient for she is very mixed adrenal/thyroid and now

she has yeast which is very immune related. She may very well have

auto-immune problems that went undetected from her tests in that case

she will be on hormones much longer---maybe forever.

But the chance that this started from her adrenals based on her diet

and t3 problems indicated it started from adrenal fatigue which led

into thyroid.

The chance at curing this is there even though it's slight--we have

to try.

The thyrodine; even though it's more hormones is not just thyroid--it

hits the majority of other endocrine glands, she has now added that

back into her diet.

As well as the isocort.

For the weight gain the digestive enzymes should really help, she

should of been on them the entire time.

She needs much more C for the yeast as well.

Her tempertures are better and her blood pressure is up so this is

better than what she was before.

We talked a lot about adding more armour and she does not want to do

that. She wants to target all of her glands since she is so mixed.

It's very difficult to judge that is why she must get new tests so we

can see what she is compared to what she was.

In my mind I think she has to try the cortef for 3 months--get that

adrenal healed or else all of this is just chasing and bandaiding the

real problem.

She did add more armour and felt too hyper--took one grain in the

morning--I think she got scared--problem is she should have not

jumped up from a half to one so fast. Even though it doesn't sound

like that big of a deal going from 30-to 60mgs. I have since read you

should take even smaller doses when you try and increase. Must of

been the increase in the t3.

She is not a easy child to convience. I've been going at it with her

since last year.

The yeast will defiantly cause a lot more problems with this illness,

so we are now working on that as well. It just went undetected.

Supplements got her period back in Dec. so I am a firm believer in

them especially when it comes to healing the body and giving it what

minerals and nutrients are missing from the diet. We found low levels

of idodine in hers which is directly related to her thyroid problem.

I really like to get to the source of the problem and go from there.

She does not want to take pills the rest of her life and since she is

not Hashimoto's (which is questionable now) she will continue to try

and heal---many have succeeded this way.

But you know I totally appreciate any advice--I copy the letters and

send them to her. I view everyone's opinions on this problem!!!!!

Yep you are right and I am trying to convience her---she is very

stubborn. Look how long it took me to get her to use armour. It is

bringing her better mental clarity.
