I like your positive thinking and do believe that it is part of the successful healing process. People are frustrated when they do not feel good for years on end but once you start to improve even slightly you see the direct correlation between cheating and cheating yourself. I certainly wish you luck in your progress and if I was going to the birthday party I would buy you a Perrier.
