Guest guest
you need adrenal support so you can tolerate enough thyroid meds. I am sure you would feel better with estrogen/progesterone/testosterone too. you should find a doc who knows something about hormones. Look at http://www.geocities.com/thyroide Good book is Hormone Solution by Thierry Hertoghe MD. Have had problems with weight, cold hands and feet, hair falling out, dry skin, etc for years. Doctors for years said my thyroid showed normal. then finally a doctor said he had to pay attention to the symptoms. He put me on low dose of synthroid and i began to lose weight. But then i started having heart palpitations. So he lowered the dose and now i dont lose weight anymore. Have problems periodically with cravings for salt and sweet. That is not typical for me. Also have problems with being able to control my own body temp. Feel cold when others are hot, and mostly hot when others are cold. Sleep patterns have been horrible for years, and insomnia all the time, up most of the night, and then finally fall asleep exhausted the next morning. Also, the depression comes right along with all that. I am 60 years old, had hysterectomy because of cervical cancer in 1980. they did not remove the ovaries however, and did not put me on estrogen or any other type of treatment after the surgery. my weight was up to 285 seven years ago, and i went on a food plan concentrating on lots of fresh veggies, and did get down to 225 by the next year. then gradually i went back up to 257 and then this last year i went down to 215 without trying, and have gone back up to 224 as of a few weeks ago. What can i do to help myself? Are there any tests the doctor may have over looked? I look older than my age now, very dark circles under my eyes, and i am a non drinker too. Thankyou for anything that has helped you that you could share with me. --------------------------------- Messenger with Voice. PC-to-Phone calls for ridiculously low rates.
