I think it is better to feel well though! That's the idea isn't it? I think

it's weird that the doc is stuck on this. Many people get pregnant taking

thyroid meds all at once.

then does that mean if I felt hugely better after

taking T3 along with the T4 that my adrenals are ok?

I'm not saying I'm where I want to be as far as my

health. I am saying I felt like I was dying before

thyroid hormones. With just T4, I felt better, but

still had a LOT of symptoms. With T3, I felt a huge

improvement.

I still have a lot of symptoms...just not as severe

(except for brain fog, dry skin and

constipation...those are still really bad). I'm also

more irritable than I used to be.

Also, I do have a lot of energy, but i am tired all

the time. my endo says it's from not sleeping enough.

(I sleep 6-8 hours...depending)

I am tired. I can work my second job again, but it's

not easy for me. I push myself. I have a lot of

adrenal symptoms.

I'm confused. are my adrenals okay then since T3 has

made me feel better? thanks. sheila

thank you...i love the name Isabel...

Pres. Bush is going to be very close to the campus today. They are closing all

these streets downtown. I wish they cancelled school. I don't want to see Bush.

I just want to skip school. I'm wore out after yesterday.

how are you these days? hugs, sheila

Thanks Gracia,

For the great advice, I know nothing about adrenals and a specialist

in thyroid concerns brushed me off back to my GP w/o tests. Know any

good doctors in the Seattle area??

As to an earlier question:Yes, my TSH has been significantly wrong in

many directions each month when tested since last OCT when they found

me VERY hypothyroid on a TSH test. (they had tested me before so it

wasn't something I'd had long) Since then, I've been on Levoxyl, but

my dose changes monthly as I feel much better on high doses but my

body keeps going hypothyroid even on moderate or low doses. Even the

specialist is somewhat perplexed--they say I am having " adjustment

problems " and that this will settle down??

Health and happiness,

, I know it sounds bizarre but stay away from the " specialists " ,

endos etc. There are great docs in the Seattle area(I think). You must

become proactive.

best docs come from http://www.brodabarnes.org (you will have to pay $15 for

info packet and doc referral.

look for docs at http://www.armourthyroid.com

http://www.tahoma-clinic.com located in Kent WA

These hormones are cheap and give a person their life back but so sadly it's

almost impossible to get proper treatment. Might be able to find a

competent doc from

Gracia, thank you for all the information you have so patiently given me. I

really appreciate it.

really? you mean http://www.geocities.com/thyroide ? It's not my website

but it's a good place to get to other places like support groups, books,

doctors and ordering meds online. My friend in France developed it b/c she

has been housebound for several years following RAI. Now she is being

treated by famous European endo Hertoghe and slowly getting well.

hmmmm--what? I would like to think of myself as smart! I certainly did not

mean to " diss " you. I have limited time these days. thanks for the kind

comments from others. yes my intentions are good, so sorry to be

misunderstood.

Gracia

Being that I am new to the group, Gracia should not have been so smart......

She was disrespectful to me on my first post!

Roni Molin <matchermaam@...> wrote:

Gracia's opinions are, admittedly in the minority, but she has a good heart

and means

only the best for everyone.

sometimes we seem to come across in a message in a manner totally

I probably disagree with Gracia more than about anybody on this list,

but I can tell you for a fact that she DOES NOT make a habit of being a

smart mouth, uncaring person. Sometimes we all come across in print

different than we intended. It's generally better as a newbie on any

list to kind of get the " lay of the land " before making a hasty judgment

about someone you've never met.

At the same time I would urge EXTREME caution if you are considering any

of her alternative recommendations for treatment.

Best of luck,

Don't feel bad, we all want to help here that's why we are all on this group

Don't take anything personal. I read all the posts i think and you

mentioned how you were healthy, then told how you workout etc, but still

feel bad. Gracia said, " hi How can you be in excellent health and " feel

so bad " ?_ It was a question not to be taken in a bad way. Sorry you feel

beat up on, just hang in there and we will try and help you through your bad

times. Let's move on PLEASE!

wow I am sorry she is going through this. the only group that has cancer and

tumor patients on it is the iodine group

.iodine

http://www.breastcancerchoices.org might have some info

http://www.iodine4health.com

high dose iodine is used to shrink tumors, cysts etc.

HTH?

Gracia

Gracia, i know you are on several groups and want to know which one

you suggest for my mother who has a pituitary tumor. She is

experiencing symptoms like a swollen, tender breast. She was

lactating before they removed the tumor a few years ago. Her

prolactin levels were always normal despite this. All of her levels

(pituitary and everything it controls) were always within normal range

even though she had symptoms.

thanks
