bay area doctor, PLEASE!!!

I have been searching for a doctor in the bay area,

preferably napa, vallejo or pinole, for over 6 months.

Does anyone have any referrals? So far I have found

one person in napa who does not take insurance and

wants 300 bucks up front.

There has to be someone else.

I tried to call pharmacies to find out who prescribes

armour and they won't tell me.

You can go to the Armour site and find a list of doctors who prescribe Armour.

There is a purple button right there to help you find a doctor. I have got

Armour from two doctors, though, neither of whom appears on the list, so if you

find a good doctor, don't rule him/her out if the name is not on the Armour

site.

You can also go to http://thyroid.about.com/od/findlearnfromdoctors/ . Look for

" The Thyroid Top Doc Directory. You can find doctors in your area with

referrals and comments from other thyroid patients. You can cross-reference

these doctors with your insurance information and find one that you can afford,

who is good. I am seeing a doctor from this list.

that's how I found the one who does not accept insurance.

can you call your insurance and ask for a list of dr's they accept
