Guest guest
What's your waking pulse? If that's normal then I wouldn't worry. It could just be that you're getting exactly what you need from the armour, so your body isn't trying to make any more itself? (TSH meaning Thyroid Stimulating Hormone.) Or, you could be hypopituitary. This is where your pituitary gland doesn't release enough TSH, which in turn leads to hypothyroidism. If you feel worse when you take less, then you're probably on the right dose. You could always try taking 2 1/2, but if you're not having palpitations or a racing heart you're probably ok. I'm not exactly an expert though :-/ The folks at thyroid_helpers are great at making sense of test results, the only one that means anything to me is TSH, and that's the least reliable of the lot. TSH was 0.03 (normal is 0.80- > 5.20 at my stage of pregnancy); T3 uptake was 18 (normal range 22-35) > free T4 was 1.4 (normal range 1.4-3.8)and T4 total 8.0 (4.5-12.5 > normal). I can't find anything on the web about normal (or nearly > so) T4 levels and very low TSH. I'd hate to reduce the Armour. Guest guest
you CANNOT be treated by the numbers, you should go by free T3 and free T4 and how you feel. Have you looked on the pregnancy board at http://www.thyroid.about.com? Gracia > > > I'm 28 weeks pregnant.
