Guest guest
Jeanne, I'm not Bee but I will add my 2 cents anyway. When I tried eating yogurt again (right before I went on the candida diet). I was told by the people on the SCDiet to start with just a teaspoon or tablespoon and then don't eat anymore for at least 4 days. You will know if you can handle it. If you can't you will have some kind of adverse reaction! It can take anywhere from a couple of hours to 4 days for a reaction. I have been on the candida diet for one month and am dying to try yogurt again! I can't believe you could eat popcorn! I can't eat tomatoes. I have even gutted, peeled and steamed them, but still can't eat. Avocados I have been eating about 1/2 of every 4 days. They are iffy for me. The green veggies are getting old. I suspect every one of them hurting my stomach! Congrats on starting your first yogurt! I truly hope you can tolerate it! Del
Guest guest
Do people generally have trouble with these foods if you have candida?? I don't have trouble with avacodo at all. I can eat a whole one every day if I have them. I can eat yogurt also. I can't eat tomatoes anymore. Even though I used to love them. They seem too acidic now. I can't eat bread or sweets or I start to belch or at times next day I have body pains so figure the mold is flaring up. Is this the type of reaction other people have? I'd love to eat popcorn with butter but is it nutritous or just a 'fun' dish? Thanks, Barb > > Jeanne, > > I'm not Bee but I will add my 2 cents anyway. > > When I tried eating yogurt again (right before I went on the candida >
Guest guest
Dear Barb, People react differently to different foods. If you have enough meat with some veggies, like avocados, you could do better on them, because they are high in carbs. I'm glad you can eat them okay. When I reacted to something I would get body pains too, and be more tired, lethargic, and often got a sick stomach. If I stuck to what I knew way okay I didn't get any of those symptoms. Sometimes more protein and good fats, i.e. butter, with foods helps a lot. Popcorn is not necessarily nutritious, but it is fun to eat. Some people can't tolerate it at all. The best, Bee
