Just received my updated blood test.

T4 0.8

T4 total 6.3

T3 Uptake 27.4

T4 free, calculate 1.73

TSH 1.76

Can anyone tell me if this is a good report

I still suffer from dry skin, and feel tired

i would like to share with all of you the following:

I visited my Dr.

My test reads TSH, 1.97 , Free T4: 0.97, total cholesterol 270

My sympthoms are Tireness, joint pain, difficult to sleep, hard

tummy, weight gain, mental fog.

Even my test reads ok .. My Dr decided to give me 50 mcg

levotiroxina because She thinks that T4 es being produced

BUT my body is not producing enough active elements from T4.

I am glad to see my Dr is trying to cure my body no my tests

Hope this is interesting for all of you.

Osvaldo , from Argentina.

Hi , tsh tests don't mean too much but I would consider yours too high.

The other tests are worthless. You can find out more about tests at

www.thyroid.about.com . Then when you get more tests you can tell your doc

you want the appropriate ones!!

I am on Armour

Well how do you feel? If you feel great then you are not undertreated. If

you have symptoms, you will need more medicine. My tsh is under 1 but I

don't do those blood tests now. Just did a 24 hr urine test for about 20

different things.

Dear Osvaldo,

This is very good news! It sounds like your doctor is more willing to try

something new and to treat YOU rather than your blood test numbers! I hope you

get feeling much better now that you're getting some supplemental T3!

To your best health!

Dear ,

If you're still having hypo symptoms, no matter what your TSH test reads, then

IMO, you need more medicine or maybe a different medicine. If you're on Armour,

then maybe you need a higher dose.

Good luck,
