Guest guest
don't do it. Gracia Hi all, Just came from endo. She wants me to think about switching from the armour to levothyroxine and cytomel.. I have a converting promblem and need some T3.. I there anybody here that has made this switch or switched from the levothryroxine & cytomel to the armour? I need to know what kind of reactions you had going to or from? The price diffence would be about or so $ 5.00 per month more to change to the cytomel ect. thanks Bev ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Bev how long have you been on the armour and at what dose? If your doc thinks you need more T3 explain to her that it would be less stressful on your body if you simply added the T3 TO the armour instead of introducing 2 new meds into your body. Guest guest
Bev , I never used Armour - but was on Synthroid only for 3 yrs. Free T3 and T3 uptake recently revealed (in Feb.) that I, too, wasn't getting enough T3 converted. ... so doc started me on 25 mcg Cytomel. I began 2nd week in April, but I quartered the tab so as to work up slowly. The first quarter, aside from slight headache first day - gave me no symptoms or improvement at all. Waited about 4 weeks and started 2nd quarter and this time not even a headache. I'm still on the 12 l/2 mcgs now as I wanted to get my blood draw on that amount to see where I am . Am now awaiting blood work results. ly, I have noticed no difference at all except an inclination not to sleep so well - but this is not a new problem for me....have had it before. A WONDERFUL benefit that I just recently became aware of is the fact that I'm not getting that terrible chest thundering evening palpitation now. I didn't even notice - because it went away gradually, but I'm happy its gone! Anyway, you probably can't rely on how any of these things affect me or others who may respond as each of us has a different reaction to meds based on our own body's needs. Good luck with the switch A Kerry Ann Faithfull <kerry@...> wrote: Bev how long have you been on the armour and at what dose?
