Guest guest
Diane, Hi. I also am on ww I started several weeks ago. I've been on synthroid for a couple of years. I've gone to my dr. over and over complaining about being tired. I've gotten no help. He wants to know am I depressed? Of course I am .... I'm so tired I can't get anything done (well maybe I'm being hard on myself!) I've been gaining weight for about a year or more. I weight more now than I ever have. I tried taking some med for depression even though I really don't think I am. Well they helped with pms and moodiness, but not with the fact that I'm tired and still gaining weight ( which causes me to be depressed!) It's a vicious cycle. Anyway, I stopped the meds, except for synthroid. I started weight watchers I've lost 9.1 lbs. I also take vitamins, including chromium pilcolinate which is suposed to help with sweet cravings. (I think it does). I joined the ymca (I hate exercise) I gone 2 times per week for 3 weeks. I do what ever I can...15mins. on treadmill, sometimes 5 on stairstepper and I do the circuit for weight training, it is layed out to give a full body workout. I would like to lose another 10 pounds. I'm tired some days, directly related to how I slept the night before. As for you, don't give up on the diet! Being over weight is tiring and depressing. Have your Dr. check if your dosage of the med needs to be adjusted higher. Most of all do research on hypothyroidism, most Drs. just give out the med and think the problem is solved. They couldn't be more wrong!! I hope I've helped. Dina dcmax@...
