I am going shopping in two days although I doubt I would be a veggian I

would love to eat better!

Could you veggians give me a recipe that doesn't have tofu, that you

have served to nonveggian friends and that consist of getting

ingrediants in an everyday grocery store

WOW, I missed a lot today at work! Arguments breaking out and recipes, good

stuff. :0) How about stuffed peppers. I gut the peppers and stuff them with

chick peas, brown rice, lots of veggies, anything actualy that you like. That's

for starters. I have great fish recipes too. My crusted tilapia is amazing if

you are interested!

How about stuffed baked potatoes! Simply bake your potatoes, add black beans,

lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, salsa, green onions, sea salt, onion powder,

garlic powder to taste! Enjoy!

Blessings!

Hi

crusted tilapia sounds really good! Thanks.

Also stuff bell pepper do you have a recipe, eventually I will get

comfy cooking veggie dishes but anytime I start doing a new type of

food I need amounts so that I don't do something that is disgusting.

Thanks for responding.

Crusted Tilapia (having it tonight actualy)

Buy a bag of croutons and crush them to pieces ( any flavor kind works)

Put in a bowl and add some:

paprika

chopped parsley

dash of pepper (salt and dash of parmesan cheese optional)

In another bowl:

one or two eggs (beaten)(organic free range eggs only :0)

half of a squeezed lemon

tablespoon of water

Dip the fish in the egg mix and them in the crust mix, put in a a dish

(lightly oiled or sprayed with non stick) and bake at 375 for about 20 minutes.

Delicious, good luck.

Stuffed pepper............

I buy green, yellow, and red (variety is always good)

I gut the middle of all the peppers

In a big wok (or saucepan, whatever)

I sautee veggies (your choice) I use...mushrooms, onions, garlice, chopped

zucchini, yellow squash, etc... I used to chop up tempeh and add that too, but

not anymore (no soy), although I miss it because it is nothing like tofu,

anyway....

In another bowl my brown rice is cooking.

I then add the veggies to the brown rice bowl and let them cook together for a

few minutes, then I stuff them in the peppers and cook the peppers for about 20

minutes or until they look and feel ready. Remember, don't cook everything all

the way to the end because they will be going in the oven. Sorry if it's not

specific, I experiment, I don't necessarily use cook books.

Here's a super simple recipe for vegans when you're in a hurry:

(It's good for non-vegans also!)

1 can of black beans

1 cup of thick and chunky salsa

Cooked rice

Mix the black beans and salsa, then heat til warmed. Serve over the rice.

My sister likes to add minced garlic to hers. I like to add some cumin and

red pepper.

You can experiment around and see what spices you like.
