Adrenal vs thyroid

The atypical symptoms are why I don't know exactly what someone is

suggesting when they say, " Treat the symptoms " .

I don't know a great deal about the adrenals either; I know one

indication of a problem is allergies [which I have]. I believe the

adrenals produce one output for normal functioning and a much higher

level for stressful situations. That being the case one might possibly

test normal, but have no reserve when a stressful situation occurs.

Although I have COPD when my wife and I exercise [walking] she gets out

of breath while I'm still not even breathing hard. I have no trouble

recovering from exercise.

I've started checking out the Dr. Rind site; thanks...

I would agree that your symptoms are not hypo - I don't know enough

about adrenal issues - only that I have had them - the biggest symptom

for me is not recovering from exercise and I believe this is a common

one but I also believe that allergies are an adrenal issue. I also had

blood tests come back in the low normal range and then I had a saliva

test which showed very low cortisol levels especially in the morning -

it really takes a knowledgeable doc to read these tests because if you

are low normal they will tell you you're fine and not look any further -

whereas low normal for you might be terribly low compared to your

healthy levels. Anyway I ended up treating myself with low dose HC - I'm

not recommending you do this But I do not feel that the blood tests are

an accurate measure. There is a metabolic scorecard which compares

adrenal symptoms to thyroid symptoms (both hyper and Hypo I think ) at

Dr Rinds website - this is very useful and you will be able to see how

severe your symptoms are you add them up at the end. I think it is

Drrind.com

cheers,

Adrenal vs thyroid

As I've tried to indicate before my symptoms are conflicting. For

example, I have a high heart rate and high metabolism; which I believe

normally go more with hyper than hypo. In addition, I eat like a horse

and gain no weight. Right now we're treating basically test results.
