Sylvana,

I don't like giving the message to a new person of how awful liver biopsies

are but the truth is they hurt drugged or not. When I had the trans. I was

close to death and scared, I begged them to give me lots of drugs because of

my high tolerance to drugs. So the nurse gave me the max of morphine and I

still felt it when the doc was taking the samples. I even asked to doc to

please stop so I could rest. The nurse felt sorry for me. His answer was we

are almost done no sense of that. The nurse just added more morphine in my

IV. I can't understand when you are screaming on the table and they keep

stabbing you isn't that called abuse? How awful. I hope my next biopsy is

done that way. With the lap.

Shireen,

Sometimes I don't think that the doctors are really in tune as to what the

patient has to go through. My GYN keeps putting me through procedures and I

tell them repeatedly how much it hurts and why won't they do these surgeries

in the hospital. I would give anything to have my biopsies done by a lap.

Hi all,

its been a weird last 3 days.....everything was fine. Now, I am back to

having those heavy black stools. Has anyone on this site had colon or rectal

cancer? Being incontinent and knowing I can't do anything about it is

stressing.

my insurance company is giving me a hard time...I did make an attempt to go

back to work...to no avail between the incontinence and the bleeding.....i

had to return home. now, they are doubting me, and have not reinstated me

again. had I known I would of not made that attempt to go back. guys, bare

with me....it been so hard, and lonely.

Hi Gayle,

I'm sorry you had such a bad biopsy. Yes, I guess it was abuse, but they

kept saying just one last time and then it's over...well it wasn't over. I

remember I squeezed the arm of an assistent so hard it got bruises!

Sylvana,

Sometimes the docs and nurses forget we feel pain even though we go through

so much pain all the time it never gets better for me. And Had I had strength

enough during that biopsy I would have grabbed them and caused bruises myself.
