Guest guest
http://www.internationalpharmacy.com/en/default.aspx They are really excellent and they seem to carry everything! I ordered Armour from them before I found my current doc who prescribes it, and I always received the real thing (that is, Armour from Forest Pharmaceuticals). However, make sure that your country is not on the list of countries to which they do not ship (look under " country restrictions " ). If you have any questions, they are very helpful and get back to you in a matter of hours. Did you use to order from myrxforless in Mexico? I did a couple of times, but I received something that did not at all look like Armour (the bottle was completely different as was the manufacturer's name). They assured me that it was the real thing but that it had been put in a different bottle with a different label. It seemed to work, though, so I did not give it another thought. If it is the same company, it was closed down and it was subsequently involved in a law suit (in Florida, I think). It seems that myrxforless had been selling controlled substances and that their business was not at all legal...although they claimed it to be. I found all this on the Internet so I guess it is still there. Good luck with the Armour! Catarina --------------------------------- Relax. virus scanning helps detect nasty viruses! Guest guest
To and Catarina, I've read your " conversations " on the chat line, and I wonder which (European?) country is in, and I also wonder what web site you got the Armour from. Could you please list it again? The first couple of years after being diagnosed hypo I was on Synthroid. Didn't know any better. Then a new doctor switched me to Armour. After a while my pharmacist suggested generic armour, (whatever that is), they said it was just the same stuff, and a lot cheaper. Now I have learned here on the chat line, that it is NOT the same, and I want to go back to Armour, (the real thing), even though it is more expensive. I used to get the generic in 60 mg. size, and take one and half pill a day, = 90 mg. It was a hassle to have to cut a pill in half every other day, so this time I asked for a 30 mg. size. Did you know that no matter what the size of the pill the price per pill is almost the same? Insane, or what? I could have gotten a 90 mg. pill, and saved a lot of money, but then I wouldn't be able to fine-tune the dosages. With 30 mg. pills, I can take two, three, or four pills, monitoring how the effect is, until I get the right dosage. Then, and only then, can I go back and ask for that particular dosage in one pill, thus saving a lot of money. They seem to come in all sizes. I'm not even going to bother with the TSH test anymore, I've had a lot of them, and my (now) doctor seems to go by just that. Without considering my symptoms. Just like so many other stories I've heard here on the chat line. Armour online Hi Hultgren Catarina, Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have managed to do what as taken me nearly 18 months of searching, and following up leads for other sites posted by other hypo's. I made my first order for Armour thyroid (Forest brand) on line 4 days ago to the site you recommended. It arrived today from the US.A, and no import duties to pay in the U.K.!! I chose the cheapest postal service as well. Not bad eh? The number of sites I have tried that WONT/DONT ship to EU countries, so thank you. I now need advice on how to make the switch from the synthetic stuff to the real deal. Anyone suggest how I start? I was pleased to report to everyone a few months ago losing weight spontaneously and steadily a year on synthetic thyroid meds. Still happy to say the weight continues to go down. But guess what, since the last time I posted? What little hair I had left on my head as nearly all but disappeared. What hair is left is the texture of coconut husk!! I wear a wig permanently now, because the stuff I used to use to disguise thin patches just had less and less of my own hair to electrostatically cling to. I guess we can't have it all, but a bit of hair would be nice, being a woman!!! Cheers, Val. p.s. not posted in quite a while, and I owe at least one person a personal reply, my mail box is overflowing......

Guest guest
Thanks, , Now the next question is : Do they ship WITHIN the USA, or is it only for abroad? I live in Texas. And how do you get your prescription to them? Re: Armour online Hi and Mark, Here is the website Hultgren Catarina recommended. Guest guest
Hi and Mark, I never checked to see if it was for the internal US market. The site is very helpful though, because it does tell you which countries it will ship to and warns if you might have to pay import duties. I did not need to send a U.K. prescription or pay import fees. If I had to have a prescription, I can tell you now the mean s.o.b.'s over here would not allow it! So to answer your question, I really do not know if you can get it non prescription in the internal market in the US. Try the recommended site anyway, it may have links to others. Guest guest
To all: Something to think about with Hypothyroidism. I would go get your adrenals testing. 99.999% of the time when someone is constantly stressed (adrenals release cortisol over and over again and never get a chance to rest) this becomes a burden to the body. The thyroid is on the same axis and is the master regulator of the body. So, when poop hits the fan internally and the body is constantly stressed, the thyroid kicks in the save the day. It slows down your metabolism and much more within the body. So, when people have thyroid issues, most of the time that is the byproduct of adrenal issues. Just some food for thought! Guest guest
I checked their site a little more thoroughly, and the answer is NO. They don't ship within the USA. So I'll try the other site, the anti-aging one, but their prices are higher. www.antiaging-systems.com Thank you, everybody, for all your information. Guest guest
Hi Gracia, Hey, would you believe it??? That's the very same doc I went to almost 2 years ago, (summer 2004), after having seen an article about him and his clinic in a magazine on an airplane. Small world. I live in Amarillo, and if you know how big Texas is (!), it's a 10-12 hour drive to get to Houston/Katy. So I can't do that very often. He's the doc I referred to in some of my previous postings on this chat line, the one who took me off Synthroid, put me on Armour, gave me coconut oil, etc. The initial reason I went there was to get a prescription for bio-identical hormones, I wanted to quit Premarin. I had just read Suzanne Somer's book, LOL. (Find out all about it by typing her name in your search engine). There was no endocrinologist here in this little cow town on the prairie who knew anything about bio-identicals. The Armour was covered by my insurance, but the other hormones were not. It got to be very expensive in the long run, so after some time I quit those. I don't know how important they are anyway, now that I'm 68. I think the thyroid meds are much more important. But I'm not an expert on it. I just try to read everything I can get my hands on. This chat line has been very helpful, and educational. Thanks for all your input, everybody. Guest guest
But.... What are the best tests to find out if your adrenals are not working?
