Guest guest
Dear Kathi: <sheepishly, kicking toe in the dirt> OK, Mom....I'll try it! Actually the lack of jelly makes it sound much better! I was picturing grape jelly... Hope you're having a good day! Guest guest
Hi Jerry, I love grilled cheese sandwiches and mushroom soup. How are you feeling today. I didn't have to work today and it's a good thing cause I was up until 2:20 this morning on this computer. I get so many e-mails from the group it's hard to read them all. I better go to bed soon. Take care, Genny

Guest guest
Jerry, When I was on Prednisone, I was the foulest of the foul. I had a real personality change. I had no tact, shoot, I guess I still don't have much. Anyway, this is a very loving and supportive group of men & women. By the way, did you know that most people who have AIH are women? Glad you are going to stick with us.

Guest guest
I felt lousy most of the day and as was apparently apparent-- foul tempered. I hope it was the prednisone, is this possible? Really i`m usually quite upbeat and attract a lot of friends because of my easy manner and off the wall humor. I apologize to the group. Sometimes you can take the asshole out of the bar but not the asshole out of the asshole. I`ll take time out and regroup. love jerry

Guest guest
Yes and well they should ... I`m really annoyed at my behavior ,I was short all day to my mother and she`s my 85 and my greatest promoter ( and enabler) Another annoying thing thats happening, is more and more " senior moments " Wassup with that ? My ability to concentrate is slipping too. I`ve only been on preds. (40 mg.) for 12 days but some changes are evident already. one good thing is a great relief from back and joint pain . I went to an A.A. meeting tonight ( I go to at least 1 everyday) Oh occasionly I`ll miss some because I`m just too tired , but they never fail to cheer me I` have agreat many friends there who love me and worry about me. I`m feeling more like my old self right now. Thanks for the sharing jerry

Guest guest
Jerry I don't have much to say but I read all the posts . I have had AIH for over 2 years and would be lost without this group of people before finding them I felt very alone because other people did not seem to understand all the stuff that was happening to me. Hang in there don,t give up on us Welcome to all the new members Pa.
Guest guest
..... thanks very much I`m having a lot of difficulty expessing i my self. I`m far from alone I have many many friends. who are there for me, but you are right none have AIH. Besides joining to seek a peer group I thought I could help someone else. I had a liver transplant 5yrs ago and developed cancer as a result of the daily anti-rejection pills I take. the cancer is already terminal- time line unknown- and I`m down with that. I`I`m told I have future of horrible bone pain and kidney failure from it... tsk tsk. The diagnosis of AIH seemed a little like overkill. I dont see them giving me another liver so i`m stuck with being a popular choice in my friends dead pools . I`d take a date myself but how would i collect. Anyway couple that with the fact that i watched my wife die at theage of 39 from cirrhosis... I had a lot of tee shirts collected. I dont work,am on SSI and have medicaid.. I do volunteer work and play poker for cigar money. Given all that, plus my irreverant sense of humor.. i thought some could gain something from me. Well whether prednisoe and insomnia fueled or not my personna has been lost and I wasted far too many misunderstood words trying to find it. My skin is far thicker than most and I`m dumber than I would admit so I`ll stick around .Who knows, maybe we ALL could learn something. I yam what I yam... and despite my verbosity, and inflated ego make a very good friend and listener. I`m never depressed. Though there are many I dont LIKE I do LOVE ALL people. I know that God will care for you, serenity and love and thanks for your concern.... jerry
Guest guest
Jerry I am glad you are staying. Guest guest
nne .... some the sad things were of my own making.....all in all my life has been very blessed. I come from a very good family and am blessed with 4 wonderful daughters and 3 1/2 grandchildren. my 2nd oldest ( an RN) is expecting soon. Today I went to my youngest grand- daughter`s christening. there was a time when I might not have showed up. My father was honest, strong and hardworking who dedicated his life to providing for his family. ( I wished I had been 1/2 the man he was.) I have a brother who is more like him who`s an attorney in Balt. My sister is a teacher and graphic artist in Denver She raised her daughter without any help from her ex. I have had opportunities and advantages very few people could ever have. I live with an 85 yr. old mother who is a saint and refuses to believe that I am nothing but that favorite, good looking, intelligent son she always brags about and insists on taking care of me even though I`m 57. She`s had by-pass but still wants to cook and clean for me an I get mad tying to convince her otherwise . I have literally hundreds of friends who love and care for me. ( I had at least 8 calls for me today from people asking about my health) I`ve been avoiding lots of them lately because I`m arfaid of this pred. monster. I almost died more than once in the last 7 yrs. and since I`ve become sober have learned whats important and whats not. i`m still a work very much in progress , and even though I`m living on borrowed time (I `ve got 3 terminal diseases). I never get depressed . I try to find humor in every thing... my sole goal , to justify my poorly lived life is to somehow help one other of God`s children before I die. Please laugh with me or at me... whatever. I wish you the serenity I have found. love jerry
