Guest guest
Update on mom is worse--her doctor won't even test for t3---her tsh is 8---I said to her how are you walking around???---she said not very good. She needs armour so bad---but I got her to take thyroid energy--even if I gave her thyodine with her synthetic she would be better because of the small amount of t3 in that---any thyroid glandular would help her. But she won't take it. So at least she will take the thyroid energy, it does have supplements that will make her feel better at least. You only need a small amount of t3 to feel better---not many need alot of this so the glandular would help her. But she is stubborn and hates fighting with the doctor and nurses fought with her too, when she asked for a t3 test and she asked for armour. So she is still really sick and it makes me sad these terrible doctors that so many of us have to deal with. She is coming to visit me and I am going to give her armour to try or talk her into thyodine---something is better than No t3.

Guest guest
typical story she is on medicare and a HMO--I told her she needs to change doctors. I was there when she asked what her t3 results were (last visit) and they said oh we don't test for that---so she has asked in person, on the phone--too many times and last time the nurse yelled at her. (she is 65) So my mom (also high blood pressure) is having a tough time of it. They actually told her blood sugar level at 95 that it's a good thing she is not diabetic yet---I told mom-- you are very close and without proper thyroid meds---you will be! uggg---between my mom, sister and daughter--not to mention hubby (another illness) I can be so tired at times!!! also mom lost her eyesight from untreated thyroid (only one eye though)---we found all of this out because of my daughter's illness. > is there a way for you to research an endo for her? and get her to switch to > a dr that might care? or what about an ND? > > > update on MOM > > > > Update on mom is worse--her doctor won't even test for t3---her tsh > > is 8---I said to her how are you walking around???---she said not > > very good. > > > > She needs armour so bad---but I got her to take thyroid energy-- even > > if I gave her thyodine with her synthetic she would be better because > > of the small amount of t3 in that---any thyroid glandular would help > > her. Guest guest
Hi Newly diagnosed- should say at long last diagnosed. I was at tsh 8 and felt like I should be dead, 5 days of treatment and I am starting to feel alive again. Do I ever get the situation with doctors, its like they wait to see if you are about to die before they treat- why so???? Anyway nice to meet you all tc Lyn --- Girlie <kckim@...> wrote: > is there a way for you to research an endo for her? > and get her to switch to > a dr that might care? or what about an ND? > > > update on MOM > > > > Update on mom is worse--her doctor won't even test > for t3---her tsh > > is 8---I said to her how are you walking > around???---she said not > > very good. > > > > She needs armour so bad---but I got her to take > thyroid energy--even > > if I gave her thyodine with her synthetic she > would be better because > > of the small amount of t3 in that---any thyroid > glandular would help > > her. Guest guest
sounds like you need to step in and do it for her and find a good dr and switch her and help her through it she is obviously too sick to do it herself update on MOM > > > > > > > Update on mom is worse--her doctor won't even test for t3---her > tsh > > > is 8---I said to her how are you walking around???---she said not > > > very good. > > > > > > She needs armour so bad---but I got her to take thyroid energy-- > even > > > if I gave her thyodine with her synthetic she would be better > because > > > of the small amount of t3 in that---any thyroid glandular would > help > > > her.
