Guest guest
She doesn't know squat. Off with her head. Did she Rx 30mg of Armour? That is a very low dose. Once you get the right dose of Armour you can get rid of the antidepressant. And get rid of the doc. http://www.geocities.com/thyroide to find a better one. Gracia > I'm so pissed! Guest guest
I was only on 25 mcg of Synthroid…she prescribed 35 mg of Armour though. Re: ARRRGGGGHHHHHHH I'm PISSED! She doesn't know squat. Guest guest
there is no such thing as 35mg, rather 30mg. $ynthroid and Armour doses are like apples and oranges. You were probably undertreated on $ynthroid. If you look at http://www.armourthyroid.com I think there is a comparison chart there. Most people take 90-180mg of Armour. No wonder she has trouble with dosing. There are docs who will prescribe too little Armour, then you go back and say you feel awful, then they say " see, you will do better on T4 alone. " They set you up for failure. Gracia I was only on 25 mcg of Synthroid.she prescribed 35 mg of Armour though. Re: ARRRGGGGHHHHHHH I'm PISSED! She doesn't know squat. Off with her head. Guest guest
well, that doctor certainly has an attitude, and yes, it does make you wonder why they RX meds that make you gain weight when you have issues with weight.DUH! Armour isn't hard to RX. I saw improvements of all my symptoms on Armour except brain fog...amazing medicine. the test most docs usually run to test antibodies is anti-TPO. take care and hang in, sheila mountnmansangel2@... wrote: I'm so pissed! I printed some of the articles about the Cure for H/T and my doctor just smirked and said.. " I know all of that...that's why I went to Medical School " But before I pissed her off...I told her that I felt better when I was taking the Armour. She said " well it's hard to get the dosage right on Armour " and she said something about it having contaminents in it. What did she mean by that???? Anyway.. I was able to talk her into writing me an RX for the Armour...(35 mg) and danged if I didn't' get to the Walmart RX and they didn't have it!! They gave me a several of a lower dosage..until mine comes in on Thursday. Just isn't my day!! I also told her that I had read where Zoloft caused weight gain...and no sex drive..so she changed to to Efflexor or something like that. Why the crap would a doctor prescribe a drug that MADE you gain weight..especially when you already know you have H/T???? Not to mention the fact that I spent $20 thousand dollars last year on a tummy tuck, body lift and lipo suction!!!!!!!! Doesn't make any sense to me!!!!!!!! She says that I should see a change in my weight and sex drive (yay!!!!!) we'll see about that one! I don't' know what my lab values were yet though....I should know in a couple of days! What test shows the antibodies? I'm not sure if she ran that one or not. Anyway...that was my last visit to her...guess it's time to find another doctor! Good luck to all!! Re: New to t his group somehow I missed Angie---the only way to get rid of mono is bed rest-- juicing veggies and fruits and tons of extra C---need to clean out that liver and help your kidneys---lots of water too!!! cranberry is great--and even better pineapple---big time---drink a quart a day will help the inflammation!!!! this is a tough one to beat but you can do it if you drown yourself in as much healthy fruit and veggie juice and vitamins!!! > I just wanted to say thanks for sharing all of the > information/experiences with this group. > > I had what was diagnosed as the flu, then pneumonia in > November/December.
