I'm new to the group and have been reading the posts for quite sometime. I

was diagnosed with Hypo a few months after the birth of my baby boy who is now

10.5 months. I feel much better, still not 100%, but my Synthroid seems to

help. The information posted on this group has been very helpful.

I have a question regarding pain medications. I suffer from very painful

headaches, I believe them to be hormonal and was given Hydrocodone for pain.

I was reading the directions and it says do not take if you suffer from Hypo.

Can anyone explain this to me? I certainly don't want to upset my poor

Thyroid anymore then it already is but could use some relief. I read that

Codeine is an Alkaloid and that Alkaloids should be avoided.....any thoughts?

Thanks,
