why do dr's discredit candida overgrowth?

I had the experience of going to a dr today who thinks this whole

yeast connection is a scam!

He removed a tick from me today and wanted to put me on antibiotics

since i have a histroy of lyme disease. I explained my situation

with being on antibiotics 12 times in 3 years and being on them for

1 and 1/2 year straight for lyme.

He didnt agree, but i didnt take the rx with me and told him if

ihave any symptoms of lyme, i would let him know. I then requested

he do a lyme blood test today and again in 30 days and 60 days.

Why do dr's honestly feel this does not exist? He said my symptoms

could p ossible be " mental " issues and recommended i talk to a

professional.

Ok, sometimes i do feel " mental " haha, but my symptoms are very real

and got better with this diet.

I was very discouraged and sincerly pray that i dont end up with

lyme.
