Guest guest
I have wondered about this myself. Dr. Schulze is big on these psyllium-bentonite treatments that are supposed to remove things from the diverticula, etc. He even has a photo of something that was supposedly removed from someone's colon. I asked the doctor questions before and after I had a colonoscopy a couple years ago. He told me the insides of the colon looked clean and pink after the " prep " had been done properly, with no signs of fecal matter on the walls. I wanted to see a video of mine, but they don't tape them. :-) So who's right? I don't know. At my job we do use bentonite to seal off boreholes drilled hundreds of feet deep into rock, coal, etc. So it does have uses! :-] Zack On Wed, 29 Dec 2004, Bee wrote: > > I don't believe debris needs to be removed from the colon walls, > including candida die-off, because removal of debris is one of the > main jobs of the bowel, which is where it is happening. Guest guest
My massage therapist has a book on colon where it shows DISGUSTING pictures of what came out after a cleanse (hydrotherapy or something). I don't know if bentonite is like psyllium and was thinking of trying some myself some day. They didn't tell me if what my intestines looked like other than I had diverticulitis. I was SO DRUGGED that was all I heard and the paper work didn't say any more. All interesting stuff. I was constipated severely from birth till 20 years ago when the IBS (now known as gluten intolerance/ candida???) kicked in. Since then I've tried different things like whole foods diet, aloe vera juice etc and have gotten much better but I still don't think I'm normal (whatever that is LOL). Hugs, Carol B (bentonite deep in the rocks? That is SO FUNNY!) __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Bentonite is a type of clay. It readily absorbs water and swells when it does so. That's one of its values to geologists and associated people - you can put the very dry clay in a borehole or small shaft and add water, and it swells and seals the hole. As it's used for colon treatment, it's very diluted in water. I've never tried it, so I don't know what it tastes like. It probably tastes just like clay! Guest guest
Hi Zack. I knew it was a clay. I was wondering about it's affects on the body and whether or not I would have the same reactions as with psllyum. There is another anticandida site where he recommends liver detoxing and parasite cleansing before going on the diet. He uses some form of bentonite in the process but I don't remember much about it. I could find it if anyone was interested. Hugs, Carol B __________________________________________________
