Hi folks, I'm new here, I've been trying to treat a systemic

infection of candida for a long time and have made some good progress

but just can't seem to get my energy back up to a normal level. I've

had the conventional Thyroid test run two times and it comes back

normal but my termperature is now staying from 95.8 in the morning to

96.6 in the afternoon and occasionally getting up to 97.3-97.6. I can

do very little physical work without feeling washed out for two or

three days and lately my sleep cycle has changed where I'm waking up

after two or three hours sleep and unable to go back to sleep until 6

or 7 in the morning. I don't have slow heart rate but my hair has

been thinning severely for the last few years, also almost no

eyebrows. I have also gained a good bit of weight which is very

unusual for me, I've been thin all my life and now just slightly

overweight. I've done all the natural stuff that I know how to do in

the last 15 years, no bad habits except coffee in the morning and I

would consider my diet considerably better that the average, lots of

organic grown vegetables and low fat. I am at my wits end here, just

about ready to lay down and die is how I feel and would appreciate

any suggestions from you who have experienced this. I know its my

Thyroid and Adrenal but nothing seems to help and even if I could get

a diagnosis and synthetic hormone, I don't want to go that route

until its a last resort. I just painted my belly with Iodine and

drank some trace minerals with extra sea salt to see if that helps,

any other ideas you have that might help is really appreciated.

Hi Tom:

I'm new here also. My name is Aminah. I am too feeling ired all the time,

really deppressed and gained a lot of weight. People tell me to diet, but I ask

myself, what else am I going to diet? I don't eat a lot, don't like sweets and

can't understand why this is happening. My temperature is low almost all the

time. When everybody is hot I'm cold.

I do hope that you find your answers here. I am looking for answers also.

Good luck!!!

Aminah

Hi Tom,

Did your doctor test you for thyroid antibodies (like anti-TPO)? If not, you

should ask to be tested for that. A positive test means you have Hashimoto's

thyroiditis, an autoimmune disorder that sets out to destroy the thyroid. Many

folks with Hashi's have " normal " results on thyroid panel but all the

hypothyroid symptoms. When they've had their anti-TPO antibodies checked,

they've learned they have Hashi's.

If you have Hashi's & you're having thyroid symptoms, then you need thyroid

hormones to reduce the swelling of your thyroid. the hormones will also help

suppress production of antibodies.

I have Hashi's and belong to a group for people with this autoimmune disorder.

You just would not believe how many people have all the symptoms like you but

their TSH and other tests come back normal. Many have suffered for decades until

their anti-TPO was tested. Then they finally got treatment.

I know it's hard when you've reached that point that you just want to lay down

and die. You are exhausted and just overwhelmed it sounds. don't give up!

you sound like you definitely have some thyroid/adrenal problems.

hang in there & keep in touch! sheila
