Guest guest
Debra-I have them on my neck they start out like little brown spots and then gow little stems is the only way I can put it. I don't know what causes them, but I do know they have to be surgically removed. They are unattractive and a nusiance. Hope this helps a little. That is why the SSDI will be stopped. I didn't have to do anything the hospital I was in handled everything I just signed my name. I almost feel guilty for accepting disability cause I don't really feel that sick and only take prednisone 5mg every other day. But it is good to have someone to tal to , Thank you. Guest guest
Thanks so much for remembering Hunt. I am very worried about him right now. His labs had been just perfect foa a bit and they were lowering his prednisone. They have had him on 20mgs of prednisone and 100 imuran for the last 2 weeks and then suddenly BAM.. ast and alt's go back up. Now he is on 30mgs AGAIN. They said in 2 weeks time they would check his labs again and talk about adding a new med or just rethink the whole situation. I know that his nurse asked him if he had been drinking and he said no. I do not think he has or if he has not much at all. I know that he has been studying alot and trying hard.. Maybe as you found, it is just too much stress that is doing it. I just do not know. I am thinking about trying another dr. The one he has is suppose to be the best one at Duke BUT i have not found him open to learning at new things or even listening to them. He is retiring in 3 years and i guess he knows all he wants to know. Someone on here named Gay told me of a dr that she goes to in the city that Hunt is in college at. I am thinkiing of making an apt and just telling the situation and see what he things.. HIs present dr has not even told us of the side effects of imuran and i think that was kinda important., It was like Hunt;s numbers went up so he called Hunt, told him to start a new med , get labs every week for a while and that was it.. Now they talk on phone about labs and dr tells him if he needs to readjust or stay like he is but that is that.. I don;t even know what type of AIH he has. Is it important to know the type? I am just worried again as normal. Hunt says that he is very very tired and coming down with a cold. Do you think he should have a flu shot.? . seems sensible to me . I am so sorry that you had to drop out of school. I am only begining to know how disabilitating this disease can be. I hope that you soon come to terms with it and i really hope that you adjust to the new meds quickly.. What are the new drugs? Are you still vomitting for them? Sounds like you really need some rest also. How long did you say that you have had AIH Debra? Please contnue to pray for Hunt. I pray for all of you as well and think of all that ya'll have given to me.. It is much appreciated. Like i said.. THANKS soo much for remembering him.. I REALLY needed that today. God is listening to our prayers. I can tell that..He sent you to me today. Love and God Bless Rosemary
Guest guest
Take care of me????????? Afraid i don;t do a good job there. I have diabetes and have not been doing very good with that.. Seems that i worry about Hunt more than myself. I am not insulin dependent and i do take my meds but i don;t eat like i should. I do honestly appreciate you telling me to take care of me. I talked to Hunt while ago. He has had a long weekend and his cold is worse. He is also very nauseated and has been all day. He gets out for fall break Friday so maybe that will do him some good. I am gonna call our family dr and see if he can get his fu shot here next week. I do hope that you are taking care of yourself. How many kids do you have and how old are they? I know that kids can drive you ragged but you love letting them do it.. Been there -done that and LOVED it. Almost wish i would have another one. I did get pregnant a few years back, by accident, they were TWINS and i was gonna be 41 when they arrived... I did loose them and it about killed me but TWINS,, that would have been hard for me to handle.. LOL TAKE CARE OF YOU TOO Rosemary
Guest guest
Hi Deb, you will love being a grandmother. I have a grandson named Colton, he's 2 1/2. We are so blessed to have him, now that Jodi has AIH the doctors say her getting pregnant would be very bad news. They were married almost 6 yrs. before they had him. I told my son, Matt that he would have to give me my granddaughter. He said I'm not having anything but boys, I told him he will have all girls with that attitude. LOL Someone once told me that grandchildren are why we don't kill our kids. LOL Smart person. Take care and God bless. Guest guest
Debra, I have been thinking about you? Are you feeling better since you dropped out of school? How is your stress level? You are so busy girl. I don;t eve know how you stayed in school as long as you did with all you have going on. Is your liver still swollen? How about your labs? By the way, do you remember the girl that was posting that was in school, Emi Lou or something like that? I have not read any post from her lately and wondered how she is going. Hope you are doing so much better Rosemary
Guest guest
Debra, just please keep us in your prayers. I almost feel if we could get Hunt feeling better about himself that everything else would be much easier to deal with. His girlfriends sees a psychologist for family problems so i am hoping that she can get hunt to consider seeing someone for himself. I know Hunt, the idea coming from me would not be good at all. By the way, he is dropping his english class that was putting so much stress on him so hopefully that will help a little. Hope you are doing fine.. Thanks for remembering us Rosemary
Guest guest
Hi Debra, its nice to hear from you. How are you and your family doing? My mother has been started on 40 mg of Prednisone, her second go round. Her platelets went from 39,000 to 230,000 in one week. At first it didn't make her hyper but as the days went by she can't sit still again. She and my stepdad are in Alabama right now for some R & R but she will be back to have her labs done again Friday. The oncologist wants to see those before talking in detail about the removal of her spleen. I'm so glad your son did well with that. I hope she will do as well if it comes to taking it out. As for Jodi I had her in the ER last night as you might have seen from a previous post. She feels much better today, thank you so much for asking. Better go for now, will talk to you soon. Take care, and God bless. Genny
Guest guest
It's not just you Deb, I don't have AIH and have to write down names and family members to keep up. I am so sorry you had to go through such a tough time. I went through the same thing last year. We do get trough it and learn from it. Debra is right, you guys. We need to listen to our bodies and take heed. We have to learn to take care of ourselves first. All the reat just does not matter. Much love, Ginger Ginger-gehud119@... Guest guest
Hi Debra, I just read your mail. Gosh girl, you have been going through a lot and not letting us know. You do not have a thing to feel guilty about. Think of all you have done for you family over the years. You have been there whenever they needed you. As for shcool. Debra, i know that you wanted to finish but just don't worry about it. YOUr health and sanity are worth so much more. You already have the stress of having a family, you really didn;t need the stress from school. I think you are a wonderful person just like you are. And i am sure your husband and kids do too. They could care less if that house is clean, so sit back and relax and just enjoy what you have. God Bless You Rosemary

Guest guest
Hi Debra, i am so glad that you are doing better. RIght now Hunt is feeling fine, but then he is still taking 40mgs of pred.. It seems that it takes the high dosages of meds to make him feel fine. His alt's were down to 222 and 750 which are still high but they are coming down. He has had a hard week with 2 tests and a paper but his spirits are up. I hope he did well or it will really frustrate him cause he studied so hard for them. His skin seems to have improved some, i think due to the tea oil, so he is feeling a little better with his appearance. Hunt is usually a person that is really really up or really really down. As for me, i am fine except for my gallbladder which has to come out. We were just relieved that it was not myu liver which is what they at first suspected. That almost freaked Hunt out. Thanks for asking about us. You are in my prayers. Rosemary

Guest guest
Oh Debra that is great, I bet your on cloud 9 and with good reason. There is nothing like grandkids, you know that's why we don't kill our kids don't you? LOL Debra, God knows when we need something special to come into our life's. I felt the same way when Colt was born. You give Mason a big fat hug from me and tell him welcome to this world. I couldn't be happier for you, what a Christmas present. You take care and don't spoil that baby to much. Love, Genny
