Guest guest
Hi Barb! At my last endo visit, I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. Isn't that adrenal though? Hope things will get better. Let us know how your test results turn out!!! Well, I need to hit the sack...gotta get up in 6 hours! UGH!!!! It seems to have started after the cardiac episode in Dec. and has been steadily worsening. We talked about any possible stressors in my life, medications, if any one thing seems to trigger it. I even brought up the subject of testing the adrenal gland. That kind of shook him for a moment and then he said that adrenal problems could mean 's Disease. He listened to my lungs, heart, peeked into my ears, and throat & checked the thyroid very carefully. He ordered a ton of blood tests, including my levels, something like CRP and another one that began with an A. He said he wants to see the results of the tests. If they don't show anything, then we'll talk about meds. He says it sounds like chronic fatigue, but he wants to check for anything that might be treatable before settling on that. Guest guest
It seems doctors want to lump every disease with CFS---which I had 12 years ago and beat it with vitamins and at that time it was considered from a bad viral infection that one could not get over and the results were a chronic fatigue/infection there after---with swollen lymph nodes, yeast infections, epstein barr virus, CMV virus - -these kind of viruses grow in your body when your immune system fails and on top of that whatever caused the illness in my case was a nasty type of pneumonia. This was the prime case example. My blood work was a mess with whatever bug was lurking just took off and grew to where I was overwhelmed with disease. I fought this for two years straight and then another 5 years before I got rid of all the yeast infections (thanks to mega doses of vitamin C) have not had a episode since. So unless this is your type of blood work---I would look into what Shelia suggested adrenal fatigue with low thyroid disease!!!! It's very common with thyroid!!! and so untreated. > I called the dr this morning after noticing that I have been more and > more fatigued lately. Guest guest
Sheila, I thought people with CFS couldn't function. It seems to me that you're so fatigued b/c you're sooo busy. You should slow down. That surprised me...... ----Original Message Follows---- From: Kemal Kalajdzic <kemalandsheila@...> Reply-hypothyroidism hypothyroidism Subject: Re: Just returned from office visit Date: Mon, 9 Feb 2004 21:42:59 -0800 (PST) Hi Barb! Guest guest
When I first started Armour I had a spell of about 6 weeks of CFS. I could barely hold a coffee cup and spent days in bed. I thought I was going through a healing crisis but actually I needed cortisol for adrenals. Gracia > Sheila, > I thought people with CFS couldn't function.
