Guest guest
Hi Tina -- Now that you mention this a friend of mine that I suspected has thyroid problems sent me her tests just before our kids graduations -- I've asked her to send me her ranges, any advice or help at all with this would be greatly appreciated! She's 41, very fatigued, cold intolerance (worse than me), thinning hair, has endometriosis and just started the bc patch last month. They told her thyroid was " normal " , -- her iron is really low. THANKS!!!!! Here's her email: Anyway, I did get a copy of the results from my doctor. Is this it: t-uptake = 29.49 t4 = 10.2 FTI = 3.0 Free t4 = 1.46 my iron is at 77 and the range says 50-175 and that's taking an iron pill. Someone told me I should go see a nutritionist, maybe that would help with the energy. I started the patch (birth control) this is my second month and I am feeling a little better. I just had my period and it was not as painful and ovulation is not happening so that pain is gone to. Hopefully, I will start feeling better. ok who is next???? just teasing--any others out there that we have missed--test results to look at??? things to ponder ???---looks like we have some free time --- tina
Guest guest
these test results tell nothing. She needs TSH and free T3 with ranges, but she needs thyroid for her symptoms. Tell her to read Hypothyroidism: the Unsuspected Ilness by Broda MD. Many women end up with hysterectomies when they really need thyroid hormone.
