Does anyone ever get a pin's and needles sensation in their hands? I

am wondering if this is because of my thyroid or what. I have gone

to the doctor and they think thyroid or anxiety. Just wondering.

Thanks!

I do, but I was told it was because of arthritis. I doubt they

really know.

I had something like that and it turned out to be carpal tunnel in both hands.

Carpal tunnel is a symptom of thyroid problems. Whodda thunk!

I have not had that, but my doctor keeps asking me if I do - she says

it has to do with low calcium levels. I also had a total

thyroidectomy,so that can affect calcium. Check your most recent

blood work and see how the calcium is. Just a thought.

Yup, I have the same-- also plantar fasceitis (feels like heel pain).

This particular symptom has phases when it's particularly bad, but

mine has been relatively quiescent lately. I have trained myself to

sleep with my arms straight at my side, as otherwise I will wake up

with pain and lack of feeling from the elbow down. I was originally

told I had " fibromyalgia " and both carpal tunnel and plantar

fasceitis are signs of that. Oh and also part of the same syndrome is

the numbness and blue fingers in winter cold-- raynaud's I think it's

called. The rheumatologist who told me I had Fibro, told me not to

have the surgery done for carpal tunneel, as it would only come back

again anyway.
