Guest guest
Hi Gail! I wouldn't worry about the cholesterol issue. I use lots of coconut oil, butter and olive oil as well as eat a great deal of red meat. Within just 2 months on this diet my cholesterol dropped to 154 overall (was 202). My good cholesterol went up and the LDL (bad cholesterol) dropped from 120 to 72. I have now been on the program for 5 months and I truly believe this program is the greatest. I am feeling better and better every day. Have dropped over 50 pounds, blood sugar readings are now normal, no longer have high blood pressure, fibromyalgia pain is no longer a factor (except if I let myself get overly tired), went from being a couch potato to now teaching water aerobics (I will get my certification soon), and now have a resting heart rate of 55-60. You can and will improve your health with this program. Hugs, Ellen PS...Check out the recipe folder in the files section. It's filled with yummy recipes! ----- Original Message ----- From: " gmgblues " > > I also have a hereditary risk of heart disease with high cholesterol > and have stayed away from most red meats and bad oils for years. Guest guest
Sue, I really feel for those of you that are struggling to maintain your weight. That's just as difficult as losing weight used to be for me. My weight loss has slowed down considerably lately. Why? I'm not 100% sure but I think it's because of all the exercise I am doing. My clothes are getting bigger and my measurements dropping a little but the scale isn't moving at the moment. Of course, volume for volume muscle weighs more than fat. That's another consideration...maybe if you added more exercise (even a simple 20 minutes twice a week working with light weights) and increased your proteins and fats a little that might help. Just be sure if you increase proteins and fats you still keep your ratios accurate. Hugs, Ellen Re: [ ] Hello - New Here > ellen, > > I would say you are one of the fortunate and congrats! See our Recipes Folder for tons of ideas. > > I also have a hereditary risk of heart disease with high cholesterol and have stayed away from most red meats and bad oils for years. ==>Cholesterol is a non-issue when it comes to heart disease because it was based on studies that were falsified. Your body does not make cholesterol from proteins or fats, it makes it from carbs. Cholesterol is a repair and protective substance in the body, and whatever your body produces is required to repair damage, mostly done by high carbs, sugars and lack of nutrients. Heart disease is caused by a lack of nutrients, especially good saturated fats and red meats!! Of course if doctors and the heart association were to allow themselves to embrace the truth they'd be out of business. It's all about the money my friend. Only you can turn your health around, by giving your body what it needs to heal and keep you healthy. ==>In fact saturated fats are vital for the heart; bad oils and fats cause the cells to be flabby, lacking integrity, which weakens the muscle. Sugars and high carbs cut off oxygen to the cells which is vital to the entire body, but particularly the heart. Do nose breathing and humming to increase nitric oxide intake, which is the same as nitro glycerin (given by doctors to treat eminent heart attacks) - see the Folder Breath Properly - For overall health! for articles. There are many references for this information on the heart, good saturated fats required by it, etc. at: www.westonaprice.org www.thincs.org (a group of doctors, scientist and others from all over the world who are trying to debunk the world of the cholesterol myths and lies) But instead of olive oil I have been using rice bran oil which supposedly is a very good oil for you, yet I never see any info on it. ==>Bran rice oil is not a good oil. The only vegetable oil that's good is extra virgin olive oil. Please read the fats & oils section of my article again. I do eat eggs, but often just the whites though I have been eating more with the yolk now. I hadn't been eating much sugar at all except for fruit ... and oh, is it ever hard to give up fruit. ==>I understand about giving up fruit, but it is the very worst sugar anyone can have because it goes right into the bloodstream and creates high insulin production, etc. - do a search at www.mercola.com with " fructose " and you will see what I mean. Even healthy people should have minimal fruit with plenty of good saturated fats to slow the release of fructose into the system. > I did notice on the food list that tomatoes were ok but zucchini was not. This is the opposite of what I've seen on other Candida food lists so I'm a bit confused. ==>As you know from the Introduction sent to you when you joined, my diet is not like others out there. Other diets include foods that are not successful in curing candida. Decide for yourself which diet you want to follow, but many people come here because they've been unsuccessful following other diets. > > Anyway, I'm so glad to have found this group and all the info here. That's wonderful Gail. Read, learn, enjoy and get well. Luv, Bee
Guest guest
Ellen, that you so much for the support. I am really struggling right now and changing my mind about red meat and the cholesterol thing is soooo hard. But I have heard of others that have been on a similar diet and their cholesterol was reduced too. I have already lost 10 lbs and I really don't need or want to lose any more. But it's because I'm having such a hard time figuring out what foods to eat and how to prepare them so I often end up just grabbing some raw veggies. My blood pressure dropped some too already. It had never been high until last year and I was able to bring it down some, but since this " condition " its down even lower. I'm trying to look at this positively in that all that I learn and the eating habits I establish will result in better health the rest of my life. Though I didn't think I was eating so badly before & felt I was pretty healthy LOL. But I figure it's a wake-up call to analyze and change my eating habits. So glad you are doing well with this! I definitely will be checking out the recipe section. Gail > > Hi Gail! > > I wouldn't worry about the cholesterol issue. Guest guest
Thank you, Bee! I see so many positive comments about using this diet and I believe I will be sticking around and trying it. I have a lot more reading to do too! > > I also did start taking some anti-fungals because of the oral thrush > > which has helped a lot. > > ==>Try treating your oral thrush directly with antifungals, instead > of taking them internally, which may be too early for you - see the > Treatments Folder for the Thrush Treatments File. Actually I'm taking oil of oregano by just putting drops under my tongue. Somewhat icky LOL but I can handle icky if it makes me better. I was taking some pao de arco tablets too, so should I just stop those? > > >> > ==>Cholesterol is a non-issue when it comes to heart disease because Thanks for this info. Guest guest
Sue, your stomach aches due to acid problems (too high or too low) and/or candida overgrowth in it. See the Digestion folder for help with your stomach. When it hurts bad take 1 tsp. of baking soda mixed in warm filtered water, and sip on it. Also ginger tea, or fennel tea, and others help alleviate stomach aches. Do ensure you are eating the right ratios of protein to fats to carbs per my article and the Candida Diet Folder. My stomach was my worst problem when I had candida. At one point I could only eat 9 foods in the whole world because everything else came back up. See Bee's Personal Candida Story. Sue, you cannot afford not to lose weight if you don't cure the candida. Bee Sue wrote; > ellen, I would say you are one of the fortunate and congrats! I know this program works and i felt better right away also, my problem is that i cannot afford to lose the weight. Guest guest
Sue, would you please please trim your messages!! Sue wrote: > > ellen, > > that is where i am confused. How on earth do i eat 144-201 grams of fat? I try to increase fats but i dont know how? My carb intake should be 46 which is so low but im trying and my protein intake is 57 which again is low so i feel as if i am in starvation mode. I think my stomach aches because im hungry but i dont know what to eat... ==>Try Bee's Raw Egg Drink to start increasing fats. You should be starting my diet on a gradual basis per my article, and not trying to change everything at one time, and therefore you would gradually be increasing fats. See the Candida Diet folder for help with Withdrawal Symptoms and the Candida Diet folder. Bee

You cannot go wrong getting the nutrients your body needs, all natural and God-given. To heck with the food, drug and medical industries that just make us sicker and tell us lies every day! Luv, Bee Please trim your messages my friend - see the Candida Group Info folder on how and why. TIA
